TLDR: I am recommending the game, though be VERY aware of performance issues currently.

Overall I have (until now) had a great experience.
It is an extremely atmospheric game, the pace is slow, methodical and realistic, and can be very punishing at times but that is also why it's super rewarding. Taking risks is actually dangerous.

Performance wise this game is a bit of a... hot mess. I have a RTX3090 24GB VRam, 32Gs of DDR5 Ram and a i5 12600K, not top of the line, but neither at the bottom. I had expected better performance than what I am getting, at 2.5k res.
My settings are mostly set to Epic but with DLSS set to Quality (66% res scaling) and FSR3 enabled.
I am getting between 70-120 FPS (yup, giant dips).
Often times it's running at a steady 100-110, and then suddenly dips to 70 FPS for no apparent reason and back up to 100+.

Without FSR3 I get 40-50 FPS in highly populated areas, and 80+ FPS in the wilds with fewer dips though.

Such a great console port. I 100% the game on PS4p and had a blast.
Now I am having a blast in 1440p and every on max (3090), and never drops below 60.

It's an open world game with a lot of things to explore, however it CAN begin to feel a bit "check-mark" gaming towards the end, if you suffer from "Completionism" like me in games such as this.

I'd recommend this to anyone who's exploring a gorgeous landscape, serene ponds and lush bamboo forests, mixed with snappy and engaging combat, a great story and amazing pace.

It's a story-driven extremely detailed, at times comically janky experience.

If you enjoy Souls-borne games, this is definitely on the top contenders :)
It's more like Bloodborne than Elden Ring or Dark Souls.

It's fun to level up the different characters (read: classes) and play through a couple of missions at max level.
I'd say that experience is probably worth the price tag, for the graphics and gameplay.
But I would've loved to see more things to do, when you actually reach the level cap.
If you don't engage with the RNG shop, the RNG "crafting" (there's really not a crafting system at all, yet...) and so on, but just play missions, level up your characters, and randomly check the shop for a cool upgrade, then yeah, it's a good game.

BUT! Don't expect more than that, at least not right now.

Incredible game, if you are into Soulsborne games.

I was looking forward to playing this game in glorious co-op, but finding out, that co-op is only "host-side", made me refund the game.

Don't get me wrong, it's a fun game! A bit clunky at times but the gameplay is fine and the story is a bit cliché but still entertaining.
It reminds me of Remnant of the Ashes, Gears of War and God of War mixed. It does sound awesome right - it just didn't grab me, and the fact that the co-op isn't as "fully fledged" as I was hoping, I had to refund.
