Easy to learn but hard to master.

Game is frequently updated with new units and balance changes. FFA mode is a blast to play.

The Good: If you liked the FTK1 then you'll probably like this game. It brings back a lot of the fun (and anguish) of playing with the RNG Gods. (Gotta love those 89% misses!!!)

You can have up to 4 players in a party. FTK1 only had up to 3.

The expanded battle zone keeps things interesting.

The loot drop rate seems a lot more generous compared with FTK1 (although some of what drops feels like incremental upgrades).

The Bad: A few mechanics are a bit worse compared to FTK1.

My friends and I don't recall there being load times before and after each battle and noticed them immediately in FTK2.

In FTK1, each player was always able to simultaneously view special vendors (such as night markets) on the campaign map. In FTK2, the only the active player can view the shop's inventory. They have to leave the shop before it becomes viewable to everyone. I'm not sure if that's intended or a bug.

The balance between some classes seems a bit off. The farmer seems far superior to the blacksmith due to the proc rate of their passives. I recently finished Chapter 2 with an alchemist and only ever crafted 1 potion the entire run.

There are also some minor bugs such as some goblins not losing their immunity even though they had the wet condition.

Overall, it's a fun game to play with friends.

This game is much more fun with friends. It has great replayability and the progression system is good as well.

Pros: Big stompy robots. Lots of mechs. Lots of explosions.

Cons: Needs more mechs (and maps). Graphics are a bit dated. Nascar?

The devs are talking about implementing improvements for 2021 so here's to hoping.

I have to say that I love this game and the number one I love about it is the dog(s)!

Normally, I am a not really a fan for anime or jrpg style games but the aesthetic they used in Wargroove is simply awesome. The combat is enjoyable and some of the voice lines are great... "Hey!" But I do feel like some of the voice lines begin to get a bit repetitive after a while.

I can't wait to see what multiplayer is like with friends.

Waaaay better than TW:WH 1. The mortal empires update is great!

If you don't have either, buy TW:WH 2 instead of TW: WH 1... unless you want to play with any (or all) of the DLCs from TW:WH 1 (extra factions and/or Lords/Units of reknown packs, all of which are pretty awesome) as they are only included in TW:WH 2 if you bought them for TW:WH 1. Those DLCs are not (yet?) sold separately for TW:WH 2 at the time of this review, which makes me think that SEGA is trying to force you into buy both games if you want them.

Blood & Gore DLC gets carried over from TW:WH 1 so just buy that (it's currently on sale, so save yourself a buck) and you'll get it for TW:WH 2.
