20 year old memories aren't quite enough to make me a success yet, now if I could only find the MoM strategy guide wherever it was packed away..

Love battletech, like the game quite a bit even despite some issues that have had and will recommend it with one caveat.. the base game is $39.99 ( fair price) when it's not on sale, the season pass which includes all DLC is $49.99(never goes on sale) and the sole DLC Flashpoint does from time to time.. more then the game itself ... even some notorious cash grabs (ie fallout 4) didn't price the season pass more then the base game itself

Nice to be able to play this again, though I don't usually use the higher resolutions as the menu/interface doesn't scale as with more modern titles.. but I played it originally with 1024x768 so this isn't a big deal for me anyway

Allright, I can recommend the game for it's story (very nice), graphics and sound where well done.. BUt as for the rest, sadly can't say it's worth the few dollars I paid, I can't remember the last time I played a game so stuck on a linear track.. when the game gives you a new objective such as go here , what ir really means is that you can't go there and have anything happen till character X you are following gets there as well.. you can't for example go through a doorway till the character you're following travels the appointed movement track and it will leave you stuck listening to hey we need to go here if the character getts hung up and can't move forward. and the Second biggest gripe is the hitboxes/cover system you cant duck behind something and can be almost assured that the enemy can shoot through it to get you, but you can not do the same, you can duck around the corner even and have nothing obstructing the barrel of your weapon and still have bullets be blocked by the *invisible*corner of the crate, wall, etc. Ammo types as other have mentioned are quite annoying as well.. several weapons take the same size round of ammunition, but you can only pickup ammo if it's from a weapon with the same name,, All in all unless you can pick it up for $5 or so for the story maybe , can't recommend it for the frustration factor

Alien sandworms, enhanced tech tree, orbital death rays... I see enhancements over Civ 5 in just about every way, the trade system needs improvement, and some things in the tech tree don't make sense.. but I expect those to be dealt with in future updates so all in all a win

725 hours and counting with Skyrim, and yet what can be said, that with the variety of options available for it, there's always something to bring you back for an hour

An engrossing single player storyline, excellent multiplayer gameplay all make it a good game, though unfortunatley my machine has fits playing MP with the settings cranked up it's still good fun
