Played this a fair amount. Would not recommend. It has had its ups and downs over the years but its just as toxic and buggy as ever. Their usual response to bugs mostly is, here buy this DLC or cosmetics. 4 player flashlight survive-with-friends groups are toxic AF. Killers are often SUPER toxic AF. Ugh, stay away.

Steam asks if I want to revise my review. Ok Sure.
I quit for like 7 months and now that I'm back the game is somehow even more killer biased than it was before. They may as well remove the hatch, it's so restricted now and the killer virtually always gets it first. Not many changes to staple killer crutch perks though, almost never is.
So, the game is worse than my earlier comments about it.
Stay away.

Update July 2022
They went live with a big perk overhaul. Some good changes. By far though mostly bad. The game went from killer sided to full catering to killers.
Now, even more so than before, stay away.

Update March 2023
Came back again to see how things are going, and since this is mostly the only game I can get people to play with me sadly.
Well, things are yet again, worse than they were. Killers have shifted to very often just tunneling the first person hooked right out of the game.
It's also gotten to be rare to get through an entire match without a survivor disconnecting or just killing their self on the hook. That's always been a problem but it's a lot more common now.
The 2 newest killers are designed to cause a 3 gen situation. I don't know if BHVR has run out of new ideas or what. If you are the last one alive against the Skull Merchant and you didn't get the hatch, well at that point it's pretty much impossible to do a door. You're just dead.
Once BHVR has sold enough of the Skull Merchant dlc they'll nerf her back to where they know she was meant to be all along. They usually, knowingly make the new killer too strong to get sales and then nerf them back later. It's a scum practice.
I'm starting to regret coming back.

Update February 2024
It's worse than it's ever been. Came back again just to see. This game abuses you and goes out of it's way to reward being as toxic as possible.
Whatever you do, do no buy. Just burn your money instead.

Anything and I mean ANYTHING to keep the killers happy and keep the game overflowing with toxicity. If you plan to main survivor then, just don't bother.
It would be a blessing if Behavior went out of business. A dev that thrives on negativity shouldn't exist.
