Walking simulator with terrible gunplay

Overall Rating: 7/10

Good things:
Extremely fun game either singleplayer or multiplayer. Small brain enough for most casual players, while having some mechanics that are good for seasoned grand strategy / turn-based strategy players. Mods can spice up gameplay a decent amount (not as much as CIV4 in my opinion)

Bad things:
Starting a multiplayer game and trying to restart it at a different time is extremely tedious. It will sometimes just not function and sometimes it will function. Playing in the early game is very boring. It's mostly just skipping turns waiting for things to produce. DLC really does not need to exist for this game and should just be included into the base game... like seriously it's like a total of $50 for a NINE year old game.

At least it's better than CIV6 lmao

Good things:
Somewhat fun with friends. The ability to choose your legends stats boost is pretty cool.

Bad things:
This is just a worse Smash. Download and install Super Smash Brothers Melee and an emulator. Actually, just play any other game instead of this. Seriously.

Good things:
Can be kinda fun with friends. Playing killer can be fun at times. The perk system is pretty good.

Bad things:
Probably the most incompetent developers I've ever seen. They ignore actual game-breaking issues in the game to push out more paid DLC characters. Very unbalanced. Gameplay isn't very good and gets repetitive after a while. Hitboxes are broken. Game crashes too much. Some perks are godawful and don't get buffed. Pretty poorly optimized.

Good things:
Insanely good game. Cannot stress enough how good this game is if you like grinding. Very rewarding loot system, clan dojos are cool, trading system is good. Combat is top-tier. Overall very good game.

Bad things:
Quests in this game are not fun. To progress in the the game to most planets, you have to complete quest after quest after quest. Most of the quests are fodder and don't really make any cohesive or compelling plot. Archwing missions are not fun. Stop forcing me to play with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanic that doesn't work properly. PVP is good in theory, but eventually it gets to the point where your weapon will 1-shot even the tankiest of players so it becomes pretty stale.

Good things:
Fun with friends, some of the best weapon and build customization I've ever seen in a shooter game. Heists are most of the time pretty fun. Rewards skill most of the time.

Bad things:
The """DLC""". I've spent over $100 on the game since I first bought it and currently still can't play all of the game. Almost all of the game is behind an insanely expensive paywall for ZERO reason. Game is very glitchy and not very well optimized. The enemies are godawful. They don't get harder, they just gain more health the higher difficulty you go which is a really lazy system for difficulty. Game is a money grindfest even though there isn't a whole lot to buy besides heists and weapons. Some weapons are simply better versions of other weapons (like they are the same weapon with increased stats) but the better ones are behind a DLC paywall (pay2win). Almost all of the non-DLC weapons are unviable.

Overall Rating: 7.5/10

Good things: One of the best competitive FPS games on the market at the time of writing. No stun mechanics. Very well optimized. High skill cap.

Bad things: F2P and trust factor. Both are awful decisions by the developers. My trust factor queues me into 2-3 hackers every game for zero reason. I don't think that I had a game without hackers for around a month after F2P was released which is why I don't play anymore. Gunplay is very bad compared to CS:S.

Good things:
This game is one of the few games I'll give a pass to for having very little base game content and relying on addons/mods for entertainment. There are only really two ways to play this game for an extended period of time from what I've seen: play on RP servers or grief on RP servers. Every other gamemode becomes stale and repetitive after a relatively short amount of time. Although, RP servers in this game are some of the most fun you can have in RP sandbox like this whether you choose to play seriously or not. There's a lot to do once you get the hang of it.

Bad things:
Gmod has egregious loading times. The only way that you can get loading times below 15 minutes is with either 100gb+ of addons (I had 250gb at one point) or to join vanilla gamemodes without much to download. Certain popular RP servers have taken me and my friends over an hour to join which is inexcusable for a game that has been out for so long. Game is extremely poorly optimized. Has run as low as 25fps consistently and the base game was released in 2004. They just recently (2016) released multicore rendering, which has somewhat improved performance. In addition, a lot of addons are laggy and are prone to crash the game. The only workaround is to either play without addons or filter through addons to find out which ones actually function properly.
