Excuse me, I might not have enough experience in this game.. but I believe this is one of the best multiplayer out there, it doesn't feel like there is something you really try to achieve, but something you rather enjoy with other people and friends.

I personally recommend to not join freeroam servers as the interest dies out pretty quick in such scenarios, I didn't even play singeplayer.. I started first with the multiplayer by joining a server called "Real Life Server", it was very complex and hard to understand as a newbie with a lot of custom game mechanics/server mechanics and server rules to get used to, but eventually when you really know everything by heart and you have experienced most of what it has to offer. You will probably have the same opinion.

There is also a community page in steam where you can ask for help if needed, where one of the developer and server creator himself will reply and help if necessary. You can find that page here;

I think the only con is for people who look for action straight away, if you really want to enjoy the full potentional you have to learn in order to enjoy, the game is also very old, i'd give it a solid 10/10 tho, because of the few hours of joy and experience I have gotten from it.

4000 hour edit (well, not fully 4000, but almost):
I have now played this game for almost an ENTIRE ONE THOUSAND HOURS extra since I last made this review, and I think it is time to give the "updated" review and feedback towards this Multiplayer Mod.

I have mostly spent my hours in two servers, one of them is a freeroam server and it was the outmost horrible experience with toxicity and unmoderated chat beyond toxicities belief, If you truly want to experience the best side of JC2:MP, play the Roleplay Server (RLS). This does however not come without any cons, while RLS is an advanced and highly professionally made server, it does NOT have a Government faction, which makes it unrealistic and tedious for players who do not look for the constant war and stress factor of the game, but rather chilling and doing exactly that, RP without any concerns.

As of 4000 Hours, I give the game a 9/10, since there are some crashes, freeroam servers 1/10 (the one point cause you sometimes just wanna fly unrestricted and bounce around) and 8.5/10 for the Roleplay server I've mostly spent my hours due to the lack of a proper government faction.
