Post HR 100 Update: There are some challenging "Tempered" monsters at endgame but nothing compared to prior iterations. This should be fixed with the addition of master / g rank in future updates.

Overall it has been a fun experience.

Another great entry for monster hunter lovers and new people alike. Make sure you download the benchmark to see if it runs on your setup.

Pros:
- Combat has been improved from prior games.
- Great weapon variety and balance.
- From beta and so far, some pretty interesting monsters.
- Story is interesting so far. May update if that changes.

Cons:
- Poor optimization.
- Dumb nickle / dime practices. Make sure you like your hunter or you'll have to pay to change eventually. You get 1 change for free.
- Avoid it on steam deck.

Awesome mix of survival game and Pokemon.

Just more of an already amazing game. And a good excuse to start a new run!

If you like survival / building this will consume your time entirely.
There's always ways to optimize production and increase your output.
You will never run out of things to do.

Automation late game will let you copy paste stuff, and let robots do the work for you.
It's a very polished game and you will get your money's worth.

The factory must grow!

Excellent survival / construction games. Feels like a mesh of Terraria and Link to the Past.

So good! Everytime I'm "done" I come back and there's something new. Best value for the $3 I spent.

Excellent vampire survivors + hades mix with loot.

V Rising sets the bar high for survival games.

Even if they are not your thing, you are able to fully customize your experience by changing the server settings to your liking.

There is loads of content to complete.

My only complain would be lack of controller support but I hear that is coming with the 1.0 release.

Well, this blew up for a single line comment over dumb MTX practices.
Discussion has run its course so I've disabled comments. At last, you need no longer defend Capcom in comments 🙄

After 30 hours I can confidently state the following:

- Game play is good, though combat is a big janky.
- Story is not really a strong point. This is personal preference.
- Performance is terrible in big cities. I get 144 in wilderness and 20 - 50 in Vermund.
- You are forced to something akin to Baldur's Gate 3 honor mode: just a single save file. You can go to your last inn visit but waste a ton of hours potentially to fix an issue or mistake.
- There is no excuse for MTX in a full priced single player RPG.
- No, I don't care if they have done it forever. It's not ok in past games, it's not ok now.
- I also don't care if you can "get it easily in game".
- I got my money's worth out of the game. Though, lesson learned: I won't be buying another Capcom game at launch. I'll wait for a sale. DD1 nostalgia got the best of me.

I'm not going to change your mind, and you're not going to change mine. This comment won't change anything in the long run and Capcom will be fine.
