Early Access Review
TL;DR: Raft in a liminal space type of environment, perfect for casual gamers but game gets super stale fairly quickly for experienced players.

I genuinely love the concept of this game, but the execution is just too generic for me and my friends to continue playing after 2 hours. Collect stuff, research stuff, craft stuff aaaand do it again. Every now and then there's little checkpoints where you fight AI and collect unique things and explore some story-narratives, but nothing intruiging enough to really hit the wow-factor. Great game overall for the typical casual gamer, there's really nothing that stands out against that.

However for experienced gamers and/or people who have played a number of survival games before - this game will feel very stale very fast. The cool artstyle and properly working mechanics are the reason I'm not giving this game a thumbs down. I get that it's an early access game but I'm tired of justifying things in 2024 in this industry because "it's early in development" - what game isn't nowadays? I get that the whole "your base is moving and you get to extend it while moving and it's super interactive" is the "unique" part of this survival experience, but it just doesn't do it for people who played videogames all their lives. Honestly, just buy it and give it a shot - refund it if you didn't like it.

Super fun game to goof around with friends. Most mechanics are great and the jankyness makes it even more fun. Certainly needs more maps or a map editor or different gamemodes for a higher replayability but for 10 bucks it's fantastic!

When I first heard about this game due to the immense hype it received, I honestly dismissed it at first, thinking it was just yet another game like Palworld, Enshrouded, New World, etc. However, due to a friend's recommendation, I decided to give it a shot. TL;DR: It's a fun game with good replayability compared to other games in the genre, but it's also nothing groundbreaking. Maybe it's just me, or maybe others can relate, but it's one of those games that are certainly fun with friends (I did not like solo very much) but that also becomes pretty repetitive and stale relatively fast. I would put this game on the same level as Warhammer: Vermintide 2 - offering a good 20-100 hours of fun, depending on your preferences. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's just lacking something that would ignite my passion for this game. The developers are really cool, though, the community is pretty nice, and I would definitely say it's worth its price.

Ever heard the term "they might pull a No Man's Sky"?

That term is a very justified part of gaming culture by now because Hello Games did what many thought would be impossible in the modern gaming industry. This game went from an incredibly bad start, meaning fall miles short of it's initial expectations, run badly, feel empty and look bad to one of the greatest exploration games we've ever had the chance to experience. Hello games has been pushing free, gigantic content updates very actively (every other month) for 6 years now.

I pre-ordered this game many years ago and was filled with excitement, only to be faced with dissapointment. It was well worth sticking to this game though as it has now proven to be one of my favorite games of all time. There is no other game I am currently aware of that captures the feeling of an infinite space to explore as well as this game. Stunning visuals, infinite possibilities, different playstyles, single- or multiplayer, dozens of different mechanisms to thrive - it's a no brainer to ATLEAST give it a try, whether or not you've already tried it at launch. Bravo Hello Games!

Definitely in my top 10 VR games ever. Incredibly satisfying and smooth gameplay mechanics, really cool artstyle, very replayable, lots of stuff to unlock and grind and most importantly: extremely fun! It's relatively hard if you're new to VR and can most certainly be challenging even for VR veterans if you play on hard and use a bunch of modifiers (called mutations in the game). The game becomes infinite times more impressive when you realize that this is all made by one, extremely talented developer. Probably the most underrated game in the VR space at the time of writing this review! Bravo.

It's a love-hate relationship, and the almost non-existing communication and sense of community of the developers isn't making staying with this game any easier, but there's just something about it. The satisfaction of actually getting good, winning games, hitting crazy shots and winning hard situations is unlike any other BR out there. Bots have partly changed that experience (mostly only on NA servers) but I still come back at this game to get some chicken dinners frequently. If you're completely new to FPS or BR games, don't waste your time with playing this game. Play this game if you love FPS and or BR games and you're looking for a TOUGH yet rewarding experience.

I bought this game blindly without even reading it's description or watching any gameplay and it has absolutely blown me away. The storytelling, the visuals, the sounddesign - it's an amazing game to showcase the possibilities of VR. If you are in possesion of a VR-headset, buy this game right now.

I don't speak any russian and there's literally only the russian version and I don't even know the damn name of this game but...

IT IS FANTASTIC.

I think this game is a slav simulator? Maybe? Probably?
Anyways, all you can do is sit on a porch and smoke a cigarette while watching your slavic drunk friends try to walk. Sounds like real life.... in russia. Love it. Very realistic.

Would buy again.
