Seemed like everyone in the Silksong waiting room was playing this game when it launched. Gameplay feels very reminiscent of an Igavania with a heavy souls-like inspiration for the art design. The story and characters were compelling and interesting enough to 100% and the game respects your time with some QoL for common metroidvania hassles. Combat and boss fights are personally the best part and the spirit system allowing for various playstyles meant fights always felt varied. My favorite bosses were merciless but they were super fun to learn aggro strats. Map is straightforward about what you gotta do or where you need to go save for maybe the few times I've seen a bunch of new players all get stuck trying to find the 4th boss; P.S go the long way around. Overall if required I'd definitely recommend giving the game an honest try and rate it a solid 9/10 rarely felt frustrating, short and bittersweet.

The game everyone bought during a steam sale.
But none of my friends ever to play it.

Fell in love with the game at first but I lost interest after a few balance patches, and my favorite character being nerfed several times in a row.
I'd still recommend it to anyone. There's a fun game in there somewhere, just not for me.
