World at War was the pinnacle of the franchise at its time, it has such an amazing feel that no other CoD had achieved, it is gruesome, gritty and more importantly, it is real. It is a true depiction of World War II with its grey and miserable atmosphere. While many may look at this as just a 'game', I prefer to look at this masterpiece as one of the best history lessons a kid like myself was taught growing up. No political censorship, no 'soft' depictions of war. It is just, real. In my opinion, Call of Duty World at War was the denouement of the series. Good times man.
