Archeage will always have its ups and its downs, but what it does right is bring you into a immursive pvp focused game where not only is your downtime in pve farming ridden with pvp, but every aspect of the game. It manages to create a great player driven end game.

Tired of games not being fully done when released? Let From Software remind you what pride looks like when making video games. They nailed it again. The fighting is faster paced and very unforgiving, you will be spending a lot of time getting used to combining parrying / dodging / jumping while attempting to figure out which is the best strat for your current enemy. This game is not for people who do not like a challenge, but that's half the fun.

Where do I start with this game? While there are tons of reports for various issues like multiplayer connection issues, corrupted saves (which was proven false), to optimization, this game surely is a diamond in the rough. If you have never played the series like myself, I will tell you right now to purchase this game. The way this game continues to throw challenges and expresses the way the monsters interact with their environment and hierarchy of monsters is constantly mind blowing for a video game. You can see the personality of every monster. This is truly one of the best games I have played in quite a while, and im not just fanboying Capcom. With all that said, it does face some issues that are glaring. It has the same graphics as the console and struggles to do this well, on my high end rig in struggle to keep a stead frame rate, but after a few roll backs on drivers and messing with settings, this can be over looked, the port isn't THAT bad. The game clearly has playing on a controller in mind from the get go, the mouse and k/b functions are a little sloppy, but they said they are working on getting this more fine tuned. There is one other major issue that a lot of the community cannot get past though, and that is the multiplayer. There are a slew of disconnects constantly happening for people, I see friends constantly logging in and out of MHW. While I personally do not have any issues staying connected or finding people to play with, ever, this is a big issue for some people. BUT DO NOT WORRY, unlike most of the people who see this as a major issue, if you have a bit of patience and wait it out, Capcom ARE trying to get a fix for this out, and you can see their logs proving so. While they have remained quiet about the issue, this cannot be seen as a bad thing. Who wants to come to their community and keep telling them they still have no fixed the issue, they will come to us when they are ready.

All in all, I think this game is truly worth experiencing for the first time. It has challenges, and hell, for all these people complaining about the multiplayer. Go play the game solo and actually enjoy what you have for the time being, and then enjoy the game with friends once the issue is resolved. I know the game wasn't sold off as a single player game, but it is a GREAT game to play solo OR with friends. If the MP issues concern you, I would wait it out and continue to follow the news about the game. But don't let any others deter you, because people are much more vocal about issues over complements.

To Capcom, The people who enjoy the game do not care how long it takes for the game to fixed, do the job right and fix your rep with one good patch. You have a gold mine here and you know it, do it right and you will not be upset with the results.

If you like Dark Souls, this is a game for you. I wont go into detail with comparisons because these two are very different games, so scrap what you learned and prepare to git gud.

Here's a tip, Stop dodging and Start Blocking.
