Early Access Review
This has a great mix of survival, exploration, and combat. Only play this if you have a lot of time on your hands, though. The travel is slow, death is frequent if you're not careful, and you need a lot of resources to do well. I love the stylized visuals, the gear progression, and the overall atmosphere of the game.

Some bosses are a little too damage sponge-y. You don't get a lot of healing and the game is not forgiving when it comes to taking damage in suboptimal armor.

I'd like to see some difficulty options included. I love the game but don't often have time to spend a few hours recovering my lost gear, trying to find a distant biome, or gathering enough material to make a new ship because I died on my previous one while far away from home.

A great pickup if you want to sink time into a really charming survival action RPG.

If you like action RPGs, big monsters, and really creative worlds, you'll like Monster Hunter. The world is great, the combat system and all surrounding mechanics are deep and generally well designed, and the character customization is top notch.

There's a bit of a learning curve initially for combat. If you actually try to understand how combat works instead of just trying to flail around you shouldn't have a hard time.

If you're teetering between this version and the Switch version, I personally prefer this one.

I personally enjoyed Monster Hunter: World more, but this game is certainly a great entry in the series.

This is definitely what I'd call a perfect sequel. It takes everything the first game does and does it better. If you're a fan of roguelikes, this game is for you. Lots of unlockable characters and items. Lots of varied enemies and challenges. Lots of ways to play!

Convince your friends to get this, too. Even better with more players.

Kill big monsters, use their skin and bones to make tools to kill more monsters.
Great gameplay
Great graphics
Great times
Amazing music

There's an initial learning curve for the combat. Not so bad if you put in some effort to learn it.
Not as many monsters as the core series of Monster Hunter and of the smaller selection of monsters in this game, many are very similar to others.
The weapon designs can be pretty bland compared to other Monster Hunter games
The Iceborne is a must if you like the base game. Iceborne gives a substantial amount of combat and QOL improvements
9/10

The Halo Series is absolutely my favorite shooter series of all time. The campaigns are all excellent and offer great stories. Each game's multiplayer has aged very well (Except Halo 1, probably). Each game's gameplay feels unique enough to warrant liking a certain game over the other, yet similar enough that having skill in one game translates well to having skill in another.

The port itself is very clean. I've hardly had any trouble adjusting from playing on a console to playing on PC.
The menus are a mess, but that's not an issue of being a port since the menu is new to the collection itself.

This timeless masterpiece is good for any shooter fan. 9.5/10.

Fun gameplay, lots of stuff to do, one of the best soundtracks in the gaming industry.
Main story is meh, sometimes the weapons can feel a little shallow.

I can't suggest this game enough. This is a farming life sim that doesn't rush you at any point. You play at your own pace and enjoy it however you want. You can optimize your farm for maximum profits or just plant enough crops to buy salads to keep Leah happy. You aren't rushed to befriend everyone in town, fill out your barn, or delve deep into the mines.

Truly a breath of fresh air.
