Altho I didn't spend much time playing RoR1 I must say that sequel will chain me to my chair for good amount of time.
Gameplay because of its 3th dimension is different but it isn't at any rate bad, it's more interesting and fun to play. Game isn't much different from the first one I mean items are mostly the same, enemies are mostly the same and bosses are mostly(?) the same but in #cool3D art style which itself looks absolutely gorgeous. ("Mostly" becasue there is and will be new stuff that you can now encounter in early access)

I highly recommend this game to anyone who didn't even played first one, you will have a lot of fun especially if you like quick action roguelikes.

MoonQuest is a well designed randomly generated roguelite with fitting soundtrack (which is most likely silent) and unique sandbox elements like digging, simple crafting and semi-open world regions that only wait to be explored.

Almost every aspect of this game have something in it, making it interesting and fun to explore. And those aspects are:

• Going for an adventure to retrive MoonStones™ to power MoonMachine™ and bring back light to the world
  
• Delving undergrounds, exploring forgotten tombs, chopping down bushy forests, climbing skyscraping mountains and visiting small towns to trade or just talk with NPCs
  
• Fighting challenging enemies and bosses
  
• Variety of characters to choose from. Every with different backstory, buffs and debuffs that only wait to be discovered

For a roguelikelike game is super easy at begining of every run because it takes you to die five times to hit permadeath. Only with every death it gets harder by lowering your max HP.

Although that MoonQuest is in early access right now, you can still enjoy already big content that will expand within new updates.

PS. I saw some people complaining about that there is no tutorial in game but that is definitely not a drawback. Many games this days lead you by the hand showing you what you have to do and how to do it but this game is different, this game is forcing you to finding out by yourself, by losing many times, how to play it.
