game is fun, performance is awful to the point of bricking boss fights.

I really wanted to recommend the game as its fundamentals are great, it plays well and looks great, but everything else is a dumpster fire.

Critical, gamebreaking bugs from the beta are still present in the full release after being reported non stop for many months (infinite magic find stacking, gold/item duplication), as well as hundreds of smaller bugs (can't click on items in your inventory, characters going out of bounds and back to town in ACT 1 boss, etc.
Many simple obvious QoL things like binding left click to move only or the option to always show loot on the ground doesn't exist even after beta testers asking for them repeatedly.
(And I'm not gonna talk about online mode being unavailable 3 days after release as i'll write it off as a very rough release)

I like the game, I really do. but there are way too many problems with it at the moment.
if it was developed by a semi-competent dev team I would say its 6 months from being ready for release. With it being developed by Wolcen studio... probably 2-3 years.
I'll gladly change my review in the future if the game will improve, but unfortunately at the moment its not worth your money.

game feels AWFUL on 70ms ping. I wouldn't touch online with anything other than close to zero ping. really awful product.

A great game to relax with after a long day.
Simple gameplay that gets more interesting as it scales to large size and additional stations, relaxing music and overall a great experience.
At this price point it's worth every penny.

A worthy successor to the first game. if you liked Risk of Rain, you'll love this.

AER Memories of Old is a wonderful little adventure game. I enjoyed it a lot.

Pros:
-Beautiful scenery and setting.
-Very enjoyable soundtrack.
-Responsive controlls.
-Flying around was wonderful.

Cons:
-SHORT. I got 3 hours out of it, even after redoing a 10 minutes part.
-World feels empty at times - there are a lot of little locations that look wonderful, but contribute nothing other than that.
-"Puzzles" are extreamly easy and sums up in 'go here, click this'. its a story driven game, but I was a little dissapointed there is no extra depths when it comes to the puzzles. (others might see it as a pro)
-Soundtrack is repetitive - over the course of 3 hours I found myself listening to the same (wonderful) track for the fifth or sixth time.

A little bit of both:
-Story was pretty nice, but at times it got extremely preachy.

Overall I feel like its a nice little hidden gem, the game has flaws, the biggest one is a lack of content and livelihood of the world; but the atmosphere and mood are wonderful and very enjoyable.
Should you buy it? Yes, but considering its pretty darn short, unless you are very into this kind of games you might wanna wait for a sale.

Calling this game a hidden gem is an understatment.

Pros:
-Gameplay is extreamly fun
-Updates are coming in at a very reasonable rate and include new content, balance, and bugfixes
-The developer is REALLY responsive and in touch with the players (a couple of days after I suggested some features in reddit I got the dev response and they were added into the game)
-Plenty of content to keep you playing for a while!
-Very cheap for what it is, especially on sale.

Cons:
-No online multiplayer and no plans to add it.

If you enjoy ARPG's, if you're a diablo/path of exile veteran thats taking a breat between leagues/seasons - this is the perfect game for you.

Well, I decided to try this after seeing recommendations about it everywhere, and it was nice.

The 'game'(?) has some cute little concepts and ideas, but in reality, the execution is... well, just OK.
The dialogs are pretty shallow, which you can expect in this genre, the characters are pretty cliché but works pretty well, and overall I was interested most of the time, at least until some point when things start to drag.
There are too little choices, let alone choices that matter, there are too little sprites and the quality of those are sometimes pretty bad.
Overall, its a short and pretty nice experience. no where near the masterpiece I was led to believe it will be.
I wouldn't recommend it if it had a 10$ price tag, but since the game is free, its worth a shot.

And you thought the first game was great...
Absolutely amazing roguelike game, tons of content, fun soundtrack and fun, involving gameplay.
The first game was great, but Binding of Isaach: Rebirth managed to top that. with more content, more replayability, more fun.
Just buy it.

What can I say? this game is an amazing ARPG, lots of depth, lots of different play styles, and a very ethical microtransactions model.
In my opinion its the best ARPG out there.

There's no excuse for this horror. every single person involved in the making and marketing of this game should be ashamed.
Don't buy it. Don't take it for free. DON'T THINK ABOUT IT. the only thing I was thinking when I played this game was "WHY????"
