As someone who's played the first Crew game, and has been here since launch (All on console). I'd say Crew 2 is in a pretty good state right now since launch. There's a really wide variety of cars and they've done a lot to optimize and bugfix the game. The map is well, like the first Crew game, the United States. There's a lot of races and race types and recently they've added things like demolition derby which is a pretty fun mode online and offline. Ivory Tower has done a pretty good job keeping this game alive.

Now, unlike the first Crew game, it's lacking a bit of content. The story isn't very intriguing compared to the first game where you've been betrayed, then hired by the FBI to take down the big bad and get your spotlight back. Also unlike the first Crew game which had many amazing expansion packs, such as Calling all units which let you play as the police, and introduced police in free roam. The game does not have expansions pack like these, or said police in Free roam and races.

However, this is one of the best racing games you can probably find in the Steam store and I highly recommend this game if you're looking for a racing game to spend your free time on. For newcomers, Think of this game as a mix between Need for speed and Forza Horizon, combining the good things of both games.
