Wow. Don't underestimate the intentions of the developer, because he doesn't underestimate the player. Incredible game

Top tier game. Fantastic campaign ending. Fantastic circuitry mechanics. Fantastic modding scene. Fantastic multiplayer. Kinda buggy, but access to dev console helps

This game is really really fun, but half of my playtime has been spent redoing missions I spent 2-3 hours 100%ing due to egregious bugs and save mechanics. Since every large encounter takes me many many attempts on the hardest difficulty, having to redo them all after already celebrating time and time again has exhausted me to the point where I just can't recommend it. I was already irritated when I had to do the entire first mission over so I could get the single secret I had missed and then kept accidentally ending missions before going back to collect everything bc the ending was ambiguous. Softlocks and game crashes wiping hours of painstaking exploration and combat trials pretty much ruined all magic the game had going for it. The small issues like having to redo things around the base or mission bc it didn't trigger a save are that much more irritating now. Maybe I'll change my review later if I get the motivation to boot it up.

One of my favorite games for optimization puzzles and deck building. Great community too.

The game is fun and offers fantastic tuning, but I currently can't recommend it. It's still a buggy mess. Some examples that all happen often: invisible mouse (don't know cause but might be switching between controller and kbm), crash on bootup (I think it happens if you're alt-tabbed), and large frame loss and memory use after a couple hours of playing without reboot. I'll change my review when its relatively seamless to play.

This game is fine, but it can be easily improved by removing the powers/passives (including boost) and freestyle event beacons. Let the trucks represent the absurdity that makes Monster Jam awesome, not some magical fantasy elements! Remove the aforementioned aspects and replace the maps with realistic ones, and you got yourself a near-perfect Monster Jam game. Don't over complicate it! Keep it realistic.

Also, the different trucks should offer significantly different driving experiences. It would be neat if the different trucks were tuned to match their real-life versions (eg Avenger being very loose). It doesn't have to be perfect. Even arbitrary differences between the trucks would make the game significantly more replayable and less mindless. Another idea to really ramp up this game's quality is to copy Wreckfest's systems of upgrades and tuning. The upgrades would also satisfy progression in place of the current leveling mechanic.

I get that Monster Jam doesn't prioritize games and are just looking to release some quick fun, but I truly think simple decisions like those I've explained can turn this game into an actual good game that hits a broader audience, not just something for those attracted to the Monster Jam logo. From PSP to console to mobile to PC, I've searched for a satisfying monster truck game. Its unfortunate that after all this game satisfied, it disregarded one of the only things that made the other monster truck games fun -- realism.

Garbage game and garbage management. They don't care about Marvel IP, they don't care about making a good game, and they certainly don't care about the players.

If you are the type of person to play 50 hours of a game before moving on, don't expect to gain a sufficient experience from RS3. It takes a while to progress, and there is just *so much* content. The combat is very technical, unique, and has a high skill ceiling. The ticks are 0.6s long, so the combat is rhythmic and predictive to the point where its almost turn-based. Mistakes are punished hard and can be frustrating when learning, but a thorough understanding is very rewarding. The lore is expansive. There are weekly updates. Big content updates are frequent. Shameless MTX are the biggest downsides of this game imo, but you can pretend they don't exist or make your character an Ironman (cant trade with other players) which avoids MTX entirely.
