Great Metroidvania with good combat and a fun selection of weapons. I'm not the biggest fan of the environment, taking place in mostly caves but I can look past that. Boss fights are excellent as well.

Incredible game. If your a fan of 2d sidescrollers and/or metroidvanias, look no further than Nine Sols. The story and lore of this game is top notch. The combat is fast and exciting. This game will challenge you to master it. Once the combat clicks, you will feel like a god. If you have played Sekiro, the feeling of beating that insane boss is very similar in Nine Sols. I highly recommend checking this game out. Its a metroidvania you don't wanna miss.

This game is great. It does a great job of balancing space combat with puzzles, missions, companions, and loot! Your ship can be upgraded in a multitude of ways. There are weapons, sensors, shields, power, and consumables all to upgrade and find loot for. You can also purchase tons of different ships all with their own strengths and weaknesses. The game is also fairly difficult. This is a great thing because it gives you a reason to upgrade and learn what works and what doesn't. When you finally find a great combo of weapons and ship or ships, its a great feeling.

Flying and boosting around feels great and this game controls incredibly well. It controls and plays exactly how you'd want an arcade space game to control. You have light speed which is kind of like exploring the overworld. The immersion is huge and you actually feel like your out in space exploring space stations and ruins.

Combat is this game is great fun but it does get a bit boring after a while. The many different weapons keep it interesting along with different devices your ship can use. You can even upload virus's to enemy ships.

I would definitely recommend this game if you're looking for a fun, lootbased space shooter. The story is ok so far and side missions are varied and interesting. I think the focus here is on upgrading your ship and collecting loot and the story kind of takes a back seat. If you're looking for an epic story with a grand scale, look elsewhere. All in all, this is a highly impressive game and I would recommend it 100%.

This game is an excellent metroidvania. It has great combat, enemy variety, character development, and exploration.

The character development in particular is outstanding. There are numerous amulets you can find throughout the game that upgrade your stats and give you special passive abilities. Things like being able to see the enemy's healthbar or seeing what element they are weak to. Speaking of elements, as you play the game, you will come across different elemental orbs. These orbs will imbue your attacks with the element and you can switch them on the fly. I had a great time using the different elements to deal the most damage to my enemies. The orbs also give defensive benefits.

There are numerous bosses throughout the game and they are very fun and satisfying to fight as well. The boss fights actually remind me of megaman in the way they play out. You will need to memorize the attack patterns and dodge the attacks and find openings to attack. The boss fights are more formulaic than other metroidvania type games and the best way I can describe it is like a megaman boss fight.

In conclusion, Souldiers is an excellent game worthy of your time and I'd recommend it for any side-scroller RPG fan.

If you gave this game a negative review, you should feel bad about yourself. You can tell this game was made by an extremely talented developer. The world is huge and exploration is meaningful. Crystal Project acts like a metroidvania with mounts that allow higher or longer jumps and unlock previously inaccessible areas. There are cool items to find with unique abilities all hand placed throughout the world. There are secret bosses with amazing loot all over the place. There is even a pretty well done crafting system that encourages exploration. You will have a blast navigating through the Crystal Project world.

The class and battle system is incredibly detailed. There are many classes to unlock each with numerous abilities and their own skill tree. The battle system allows you to see absolutely everything. You can see what the monsters next attack is and whether that attack is single or multi target. You can also see whether its a magic or strength/dex based attack. This is helpful for using debuffs. And you must use debuffs. Many classes have the ability to lower a monster's attack or magic power and this is essential to your success in Crystal Project.

Overall this is an amazing game and my short review barely touched on its greatness. Just take my word for it. Buy it.

Never played this game before but this remaster makes it very accessible for modern times. Its simplistic turn based combat and simplistic character development but it seems fun so far.

Wow where do I start with this game. Underrail is an amazing achievement. Its a turn based, single character, RPG that even manages to surpass Fallout 1+2. The story is very well done and has a sense of mystery throughout the game. There is enviromental storytelling all over the place and lots of hidden lore and organizations to uncover. One faction/organization is so hidden that the only way to find them is to complete three different sidequests in a specific way.

On that note, Underrail has tons of options for completing quests and different results/rewards based on how you completed them. For example, you must break a guy out of prison. One way is to just go in and kill everyone in the jail and get him out but that will leave you hostile to the town. Another way is to sneak him out a vent. Or even another option is to find evidence that will prove him innocent. This is the kind of choices Underrail gives you on how to solve quests and its VERY satisfying.

Character development and combat in this game are absolutely top notch. There are numerous feats and stats that all effect how your character will play. There is a intricate crafting system with multiple skills. You can craft energy shields, armor, weapons, grenades, stealth suits, pretty much anything! On normal mode, Underrail leaves tons of options for build experimentation. However when your first starting out, you will probably end up restarting a few times until you get a hang of the combat and what kind of builds will work. Underrail can be forgiving but it can also be difficult if you try to create a jack of all trades character. This is a huge plus in my opinion. Once you figure out the combat and character development system, its very satisfying to see the build you planned out work the way you expect. Underrail gives you all the tools you need to create awesome characters.

I wasn't a big fan of the expansion pack. I honestly thought it made the game a little to convuluted and added way to many combat encounters for my liking. The story in the expansion also wasn't the greatest. Thankfully, the expansion is not required to complete the game, its more of a side mission. And it does add tons of new feats and more character development options, so for that reason its worth getting.

If your a fan of CRPGs at all, do yourself a favor and give this game a shot. It will give you tons of hours of entertainment and you experiment with builds and unravel the lore and mystery of the world that Stygian Software has created. I am really looking forward to the sequel.
