Gay World. How could I describe this game in such a simple prompt. Gay World needs much more than just a text blurb for you to truly understand the experience of playing this game. I have spend over one thousand hours of my life staring at these bright neon colors, walking around the town arresting straight white men. And this game means everything to me. The day that I'm not playing gay world, is the day I die. Gay World, is my World.

MAJOR SPOILERS

Tuition Academia is a psychological horror. Following the main character, a brown haired 18 year old girl in college, you must do several sexual favors and tasks to further the game. This includes oral, vaginal, and anal sex, as well as posting nude images of yourself to the internet for money. While in theory you are able to completely the "True Ending" without having sex, to fully complete the game you must experience several sexual experiences. This brings me to my first point. While completing the game, several tasks will bring your character extreme physical and or mental harm. Starting with "The Drug Addict Ending" you must create pornographic videos with a company that resembles "The Casting Couch" brand. If you fully commit to making these videos for money, you will slowly be given drugs by the boss of the company, the severity of which continues to grow as you film more videos. When you reach the ending, you are completely hooked on crystal meth, and are only able to have sex while on it. a quote from one character that you have sex with while on the drug is "Damn, this ♥♥♥♥♥ can ♥♥♥♥ when she's high!" This resembles the Leondra Foster case from May of 2022, where a drug addicted hooker is being given drugs by her pimp, and is eventually murdered. Throughout this game, I have found very many real world reflections of plot lines in this game, including my next plot line, the pregnancy. To get the hospital and ultimately finish the game, you are required to get pregnant, wait until it is obvious, and then you may either wait 280 in game days, give birth early, or have an abortion. I chose to have an early birth, which lead my main character, "C*nty" to have a breakdown and feel horrible for the rest of the day. The Guttmacher Institute says that "Four months after having an abortion, four in 10 women in a clinic-based sample studied in 1975 had unresolved negative feelings about the abortion. They differed from the rest in more often having 'attributes that suggested avoidance of feelings or a negative self-image.'" Clearly, C*nty is someone who has had a negative reaction to her "early birth" which is the MHA equivalent of an abortion. So while not everyone who would be put in C*nty's situation would react exactly how she would, this game can give a good insight into how traumatic situations like this may be. With Roe V. Wade's recent overturning, I would not be surprised if this game is used as an example of a negative effect of abortion, however I rather view it as a waning to those who live a similar life style to C*nty. Being a prostitute is an extremely dangerous job, physically as well as mentally. The author of this game's way of expressing these mental effects are mainly through visual distortions (C*nty's face being quite literally disconnected from her face showing confusion or being disconnected from one's self, your screen cracking after taking drugs showing the harm in a way you can see, etc) which get these ideas across very well. In my opinion, this game plays well with good art, and can give people an insight into the life of a prostitute or hooker, and how dangerous their lives really are. If you enjoyed Doki Doki Literature Club however are looking for real life comparable situations, and more in depth and thought provoking game play, this game is for you. I would also recommend this game if you are currently in school researching mental health. If i had to choose one aspect of the game I did not like, I believe that too much time was spent on C*nty's sexual exploration, and not how that effected her physically, as we mainly saw that through small glimpses of her life. Overall, I would rate this game an 8.3/10. I am excited to see more from this developer in the future.
