It's like a mashup of Spellcaster University and Oxygen Not Included. It's going to be fun to watch this game evolve.

Here lies the lone pilot past his prime.
Outnumbered and outgunned.
Murdered by numbers.

I love this game!

Initially I wasn’t drawn in by the graphics. I know people love the art style because it reminds them of Diablo 2, but I’m not one for nostalgia when it comes to graphics. I will admit though that it has grown on me, but only because the gameplay is so satisfying.

Initially I wasn’t impressed with the gameplay either because it felt so slow. However once I completed the first couple of games and began to see it open up in regards to maps, heroes, etc it quickly became one of my favorites over my vacation time to play on the Steam Deck!

I love the hero variety and the choice of upgrades at each level. It’s so satisfying as the abilities get stronger, the attacks get stronger and they start clearing out huge swaths of enemies.

I love that there’s gear that can be picked up and used to augment a hero. I would love to see more variety. It’s also harsh when you find a good item but have to unequip it to place into the lotion bucket.

Well worth it’s cost in carrots!

I’m glad that I listened to my friend’s recommendation on this and bought it. It’s been a fantastic game for playing on the Steam Deck!

I love the challenge of all the different characters that can be unlocked. The time it takes to complete a 20 wave run feels like the right amount of time. Sure, it sucks to die on the last wave, but the time spent is short enough that it doesn’t feel like I wasted a significant amount of time and I’m ready to give it another shot!

This game is worth the price of 10lbs of carrots!

It’s so satisfying once it gets going. The first exposure to the game is a bit overwhelming with all the different screens (characters, crafting, runes, skill trees, etc). The first game is slow as you bonk each creature with your weapon. However once you get going and start being able to unlock part of the skill tree and more characters, progress through the maps, and add more curses to raise the difficulty - it’s a blast to play. The gameplay loop is satisfying. Being able to see how far I can progress, earn resources, and then being able to invest those into making my characters stronger or reaching milestones to unlock more things is something that I enjoy doing. Each run has felt substantial.

Once you clear a map you can increase the difficulty by enabling curses. Each level of the map provides more curses and more bonuses. When you clear a map of it’s Lords you can keep going “deeper”, making it harder, requiring more Lords to kill. So far I’ve been able to get to 25 Lords, where 5 will spawn at a time. It gets so intense when there number of creatures have already been killed that new Lords are spawning as soon as the existing ones were killed. I love it!

One important tip, once you start getting to the point of multiple Lords you will want to go into the graphics setting to make your attacks more transparent so you can see where the enemy attacks are going to land. Otherwise it’s going to get difficult to see everything.

The game runs amazing on the Steam Deck!

Fun game to pass a chilly December evening before Christmas.

Would love to see something more than cats after this. Maybe something like “Hidden Rabbits in Santa’s Garden”.

It’s about time that rabbits get featured in one of these games!

If you ask me, cats are overrated. They don’t even like people. They’re just using you for food and fancy overpriced cat toys. Then they’re off for the day doing their own thing before returning home and attempting to smother you in your sleep.

A fantastic game to spend the evening playing on the Steam Deck.

The different gods and the blessings that they grant is fun to play with. Mixes things up each time as the order of the gods and blessings can be different from before, forcing you to try different builds. The different heros are nice. I'm a sucker for loot drops.

I hope they continue with the solid effort they've made.

Do you remember when soundtracks were included for free and not used to inflate the price of deluxe versions? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
