A fairly short game (finished it in just over 13 hours), but an amazing and beautiful game nonetheless. Some fairly interesting concepts and ideas are implemented into the story, some of which I wish there was more chance to mess around with, but all-in-all it was a really great game. Somewhat on the rails (pretty much one path to follow throughout the entire game), but all-in-all still a very amazing and immersize story and game. Only other notes are that the combat system is fairly simple (though very fluid and not over-simplified, so it's still entertaining) and that the camera failed me on a couple minor moments (but resetting fixed it instantly). I picked it up on a sale, and it was definitely worth it. Here's hoping you consider doing so too.

Update (Nov. 2017): Another year later, another year of more hours in this game than I'd like to admit. Lots of content updates and positive changes over the last year; the game is worth checking out, even if for no reason beyond trying the Plains of Eidolon. Still very much recommended.

Update (Nov. 2016): Almost two years later, and I'm still just as hooked on this game as I was on Day 1. Some of the complaints have definitely been dealt with (they reduced the number of missions/nodes on each planet, which makes it easier to find groups to play with and also means having to run fewer missions per planet to complete each planet, meaning less repetition of maps). The prices can still be fairly high when buying platinum (the game's in-game currency), though every now and again you'll get a 25%, 50%, or 75% off coupon which can help a great deal with that.

(Also note: the game is completely playable without buying platinum--certain in-game items can be traded to other players for platinum, and you do start with a small amount of starter platinum--though I do recommend either making a small purchase of platinum to increase your number of character/weapon slots and avoid having to re-farm characters' parts if you want to play them again later on. I've spent more on this game than I'd like to admit, but for the number of hours of entertainment I've gained playing this game, I feel it may be worth it to continue supporting the developers.)

[Original Review] I've been playing Warframe for a few days now, and so far I have almost nothing but praise for the game. The gameplay is fast-paced and fun, the graphics are gorgeous, and the music is phenomenal. With diverse playstyles/abilities for different characters (some along the lines of Mass Effect's biotic powers, though many varied beyond that), good story pacing (unlocking different planets/missions of different difficulties as you complete assassinations on prior planets), and a large variety of enemy types, I believe this game is going to keep me hooked for quite a while to come.

The only complaints/issues I've seen so far:

(major complaint)
1) the cost of platinum (purchasable in-game currency) in relation to items: it can cost upwards of $20 to unlock certain characters this way; while the characters are still able to be earned through gameplay, getting a single part can take days, and you still need to purchase an additional slot (using platinum) in order to use them. When you're selling new characters/weapons for $140 (and can claim it as a $380 value), there may be a slight problem.

(minor complaints)
2) map variety: there aren't a lot of maps available for each planet. While each map is large enough that you could play through it 3+ times without it taking you through the same paths/areas, after several hours, it becomes a bit more noticeable.

3) lack of other players: obviously not a problem the developers can solve (and one that we can hopefully help out with); for a game as great and fun as this (and one that's based in co-op play), I hope more people get into the game soon

Overall, this is a great game. Very few complaints so far, and above and beyond my expectations for a free-to-play game. I highly recommend you give it a try.
