Long time enjoyer of older Bethesda games,

61+ Hours in.

Hello Bethesda, I am usually quiet when it comes to reviews on games in general,
but I can't be silent when it comes to this whole situation.

Firstly, Wow Bethesda, quite an ambitious game, I would be lying if I said I haven't had a little fun with this, as it can be, however this game does not even come close to your other titles.

-you traded hand crafted worlds for procedural generation.
-player freedom of choice for play styles traded with hand guided repetition.
-story rich content for radiant mediocre fetch quests.
-new and innovative combat each title for a re-skin of FO4's Combat.
-Outpost building from FO4 for a overly complicated skill locked disaster

There is so much potential for this game, this idea on paper is excellent, we know you can do so much better.

I have to ask, how did you come from one of the leading RPG studios to being the runt of the litter? I know at your HQ you must be thinking it's the fans fault and that we just can't appreciate what you do, but we can appreciate it when lots of love and care are put into your work, lately it all looks like money grabbing garbage, it has me thinking, has Microsoft got all the devs on a tight leash? forcing you all to sink as many micro-transactions and mediocrity as you can? "Updating" your older titles to attempt to keep up and stay relevant in the times? from a business standpoint, it's not working, you are pissing off the people who got you to where you are now. and before you say "sorry you feel that way about our recent title/updates, there's so much to see, it's good trust us", look at the game of the year awards for reference, There is a reason you do not have any awards this year.

Bethesda, please take note of what we are saying, stop replying to posts and being petty about how we are all wrong, sink that time and effort into improving on your work. I won't outright give up on you Bethesda, I know there's more potential from you, I won't stop playing your games, but for now, it feels like you've become soulless, that life and love that was once all around everything you did is gone and it's very disappointing.

bottom note, if Microsoft has something to do with this, maybe they should reshuffle the Bethesda team like they did with 343.

as it stands, potential buyers, wait until it's on sale, and Bethesda has admitted its issues and begun to fix them.

Definitely a worth while game, even at it's early stages it is thoroughly enjoyable, have played it with mates and single player, with a few different map types you can select, (one being random generation, exciting!) I look forward to see how this game will develop.

love this game, it is hard though but there is some seriously funny moments. i'd recomend this to everyone.
