I mean, it's no Warehouse and Logistics simulator, but it's getting there.

Saints Row: The Third, an open-world third person shooter released for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC is a game that will give you a few laughs here and there, but other than that, it doesn't really do much more. Don't get me wrong, I like this game, it's just that when I look at it from a technical standpoint, it doesn't try anything new. Sure, the jokes are funny, and some of the activites are hilarious, but let me tell you why it isn't a game that will be remembered for years to come.

After the events of Saints Row 2, you (The Boss) have become a celebrity icon, and the Saints name is now a household brand. With people like Pierce in your crew selling energy drinks, sneakers and other merchandise, it all seems well and good. But as the Saints reach higher and higher to fame, a legendary criminal fraternity known as "The Syndicate" has noticed the Saints and demand they give up. The Saints refuse this offer, which then starts a fight that leads you to a new city, Steelport.

The excitement level in this game is up there around the 8's. This is a Saints Row game, and there is nothing like it. In this game, you'll be expecting lots of explosions, shooting and giant purple dildos to kill your enemies with. In this city, you're free to do as you desire, and everything you do seems fluid. Sure, some enemies may get suck in walls from time to time, but the controls themselves are easy to learn, and you shouldn't be having any problems.

The game itself doesn't look so great. Sure, it isn't bad, but just don't go around expecting to see outstanding and mind-bending visuals. If you have an average PC, you should be able to run this game at around 30-40 FPS on medium settings. What amazed me though, was that despite me having so much explosions on the screen at one time, I didn't expirence any frame drops, everything ran at a steady 50 and that's what I like to see. The character models are below average for a game released in 2011 and the same goes for the cars.

While you're driving in your car, you have the option to listen to various radio stations within Steelport. If you like any genre of music, expect to find it here. From Dubstep to Rock the soundtrack is good, but not much better than that.

Now if you remember, I said that this wasn't a "great" or "amazing" game at the start, and i'm not hating on it yet, infact, i'm not hating on it at all at this point. But when you start to play the game itself, you will notice some problems. If you expected a deep story line, this isn't a game for you. It's whacky and silly and makes next to no sense at some points. After you've finished the 5-6 hour campaign, you can never play those missions, again. For some reason, Volition didn't allow you to replay missions like you could do in previous Saints Row games, which seems rather odd to me. So now you're in an open world and free to do whatever you want to (again). There are some fun activites such as insurance fraud and mayhem, but other than that, most are pretty mediocore and don't really take much skill and are just stolen ideas from other games. Killing cops can get really boring if you've done it thousands of times over. So if you've finished the story, you're either left with doing some boring activites that give you no reward or just shooting people.

Saints Row: The Third is a game that will give you a few chuckles, but that's it. It's worth your money, but just don't be expecting an amazing game like Bioshock Infinite or The Walking Dead. Overall, I give Saints Row: The Third a score of 7.5. Thank you for reading my review. (Which none of you people did)

The PC port isn't that great, but the mods make up for it. If you have it on consoles, i'd advise you stick with it unless you're into mods. It's also under about 3 layers of DRM and runs on 'Games for Windows Live' which isn't great by any stretch of the imagination. With the game itself, it provides hours of gameplay with a pretty good storyline, messing about in Liberty City, and of course the mods. If you can get past all the stupid nonsense that the PC port has, you'll have a blast of a time.
