Refine resources to find more resources to refine.

copy-paste machine setups.

great artstyle and fun mechanics, like people tubes.

really just a solid, clearly lovingly-made way to spend time.

THE TRAINS ARE SO GOOD

The gameplay is fun. The guns are neat.
The story is mehhhh at best and frustrating at worst (particularly if you're a fan of the older games in the series)
The characters are all interesting and feel good to play.
DLC is pretty lacking in content for the price they charge you.
Overall felt like I got my money's worth on the base game and will probably return to it every so often, much like BL2.
It's just more Borderlands, simple as that.

I love this game, but due to the lack of any new content or updates for a WHILE now, I don't think I could recommend it to anyone. Duos was really fun and unlike anything in any other autochess game but good luck actually finding a match. Everyone has gone off to play games that are updated.

I hate slow, tedious games and Horizon was the sole game that made me not regret buying a PS4. Now that it's on PC and you can turn off the motion blur, it's somehow even better. The combat is clean and immersive and you'll feel like an archery pro in no time (this does NOT mean you can start picking Hanzo.) As someone who often gets bored of combat easily and starts trying to skip it, I found myself going out of my way to kill every machine along my journey until near the end just because of how rewarding it felt. The story is A++++ intriguing and it's pretty easy to get sucked in and start exploring every area you can to piece more and more together. The graphics themselves are also astounding and the game looks beautiful. Characters are pretty fleshed out and the game does a great job of giving characters actual personality.

Some issues I have with the game are occasionally in combat machines can "teleport" during attacks and the dialog audio sounds really compressed. While the replayability is really high, I find it hard to care at all for the tribes after you know more of the full plot, especially the clueless asf Nora. As the game progresses near the end, it also feels much less worth it to spend the time it takes looting bodies after how jacked your stuff will have gotten and it kinda hurt me mentally walking away from all the unlooted corpses but why spend the time dismantling things to pick up 1 Blaze? All of these issues are present in the PS4 version as well so it's unlikely they'll be patched.

The port also has a history of crashing a lot in past patches, but in my current 26 hours of playing, this has only happened twice after playing for a few hours straight.

This game is in Early Access and it doesn't even need to be. Characters feel fleshed out and are very different from eachother, items are spontaneous enough to make each run completely different from the last, scaling feels fair and bosses are each unique challenges... BUT EVEN DISREGARDING ALL THAT THIS GAME IS DOWNRIGHT FUN AS HELL. RUN AROUND AND KILL THINGS AND GO THROUGH A PORTAL AND DO IT AGAIN IT'S GREAT.

Quite a chill shooter if you want it to be. Jump in and shoot some mobs, just grind or complete a bunch of quests- quite a nice game to play casually or seriously.
