Surprisingly I found this DLC to be a bit better than their previous Texas DLC. Sure, there isn't as many roads to drive on nor is the state very interesting to look at but I think SCS did their best in faithfully capturing the feel of the state. However, there are still issues that plague this map DLC from being great.

A major issue I have is that I-44 does not wrap around the northwestern side of Oklahoma City as it does IRL and I don't see any reason why it was not included. There's room for it to be added so it's not like they can't fit it but perhaps they will include it in a future update. An issue that still persists with each new map DLC release is hotels, yards, factories, fuel stations and farms being blocked off by either invisible barriers or a gate. I also noticed many prefabs and assets getting recycled from previous map DLCs, even old assets dating back to California. I understand that making new assets and prefabs takes time but I can't help but get deja vu at some points when I drive in Oklahoma.

Overall, I think this DLC is fine for what it is. I think the price of $12 is a bit much for what you get. $10 seems more reasonable to me considering what you get. Unless you really want to drive in Oklahoma, I'd just wait for this to be on sale.

Early Access Review
This game shows an insane amount of potential and despite it being in early access, there's still a lot of stuff to do such as doing bus routes, truck deliveries (ETS2, please take notes), racing, police jobs, and taxi jobs. The physics are surprisingly pretty good and the graphics look very pleasant, despite its cartoonish look. The varied amount of vehicles you can drive is pretty impressive and I hope they'll continue to add more.

I'd definitely recommend this game to anyone who loves open-world driving games!

After driving around Texas, I must say that I do think this is a step-up from Montana. The landscape variety is pretty good and the modeling for cities, highways, and buildings have gotten better. However, old habits don't die off for SCS Software.

Yet again, we are unable to drive into huge downtown cities such as Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and El Paso. While I believe the cities look nice and the highway system is pretty good, the lack of being able to drive further into the cities is still an issue present in this map DLC.

Another issue I have is how the loading distance is still not improving and I'm still seeing traffic lights pop into view at the last second. Also there are so many companies, motels, fuel stations, warehouses, and shops blocked off for no explicable reason and it takes the fun out of exploring Texas.

I would honestly recommend this DLC if it weren't for the issues mentioned and also if the price wasn't $18.00. I'd say just buy this when it goes on sale or if there's a good bundle that includes Texas.

Another map DLC for SCS and while certainly it looks good and it's up to their own standard, I just can't recommend it to people. The reason I say this is because the issues that were in the other states carry onto this DLC. Mountains just feel more like hills and the only place that had really tall and huge mountains were in the Glacier National Park, which I will admit is one of the best things SCS has ever made.

Overall, it's just another map DLC and I just don't feel like it's worth buying unless it's on sale. It would be nice to see there be more dynamic weather with each DLC or something to make each state feel like it's own in the future sooner rather than later.

not very impressed with this DLC. no new loads and very limited customization for the trailers. the modeling looks great but really that's about it. i just wish SCS would do more besides shell out new DLCs and considering how long the games have been out, there hasn't been much improvement in the gameplay at all.

I will always have my criticisms with this game and also ETS2 but that's just because of how much I love these games. I don't think there is a single game out there that not only has a map as big as this but also the driving experience as well. There's simply nothing better than driving around in your semi-truck hauling goods while listening to music or a podcast. The modding community definitely enhances the experience of this game by a ton with plenty of map mods, truck mods, trailer mods, etc (albeit some of the best ones are payware but that's up to you if you want to spend money on payware mods)

Overall, this game is truly fantastic but I do hope we get some highly requested features sooner rather than later.

This game is a good amount of fun with lots of things to do. The devs have done a pretty good job at adding new game modes and improving the game as a whole. While things may be a bit buggy and weird and perhaps there are some weirdos in the community, the game at its core is very enjoyable and I've met a lot of cool people and made new friends just from playing Virus. The price of $20 is a bit much and the game did used to cost less money but I would 100% get this when it's on sale.
