Game is fun. Plenty of replayability with lots of mod support. Expert mode makes you eat food, so +1 for the realism-seekers. Multiple tiers of boomerangs for the upside-down folk.

Quite fun. A bit slow. Incredibly unforgiving to high pings as everything (even player position and momentum) is handled server-side.

Early Access Review
I played for a few matches and I love it. I've had more fun in 20 min with this game than over 20hrs of another unnamed non-free battlegrounds game. This definitely needs a lot of polish to mouse control and the ability to bind keys would help a lot (not all of us are slaves to the inefficient WASD meta).

I truly hope this continues to receive some improvements.

An incredibly fun game that will make you laugh so hard while continually dying that you will love it. The controls are impeccable, so it's much more satisfying to learn and improve from deaths. Gameplay and goals are satisfyingly simple, and the difficulty ramps up slowly enough that you should be able to get a hold of what's going on pretty quickly. Plenty of progressing difficulty in the dark worlds to satisfy the masochist in any gamer.

You play minigames within a game that's also within a game. Inception with much more obnoxious carnage. I still like #3 more, but #4 is still a good bit of fun.

Well over a year after this game has come out, it is apparently still entirely incapable of allowing me to run it at my native resolution (or any resolution other than 1920x1080). The game runs in a borderless 1920x1080 window and believes it's running full-screen. The game crashes when trying to switch to windowed mode as well. This is downright unacceptable. What a pile of donkey feces.

Unrefined, cumbersome, broken, yet still seems more fun than Civ 5. The virtue tree is neat. The unit upgrading system is fun, yet inconsistent (if you don't select an upgrade because you're looking to take a different upgrade path, your unit will still cost more, but have no benefit from the increased cost). City managers for automated improvement building are gone. Just finding the building queue and where to set your specialists is beyond poorly designed. Actually, the city screen as a whole has taken a huge step backward from Civ 4. Workers have no command to build a road network of their own, aside from the most basic route-to command. Dozens of times, I have had to reapply the go-to command to my units. Practically zero explorable objects on a large map. Trade routes become quite annoying as your empire grows, as you have to re-apply the trade routes every 30 turns.

Oh, and the game is occasionally unwinnable. The game bugged out when we dominated the opponent. Team 2 was removed, but no victory was given. We even went and finished a second victory condition, but that simply made my game crash. I was unable to rejoin the game, as it won't allow you to join a game where there is only one team.

Someone decided that having input-delays greater than a second long was a perfectly fine way to code a game and didn't deserve patching more than a year after the game was released. Do NOT support this terribly-made afterthought of a console port.

Awesome game. You will not find a game with this scope of combat anywhere else. Infantry, tanks, armored buggies, gunships, fighter planes, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mech suits... All going on at the same time, and you can interact with it all. Or you can just grab a cloaking ATV and run people over. It's fun as hell, and it's free to play. It can be taxing on your system, but the PC master race knows better than to let that be an obstacle.
