I'm a software engineer who sees no value in using Windows or OS X and therefor doesn't use either. I run Steam and all of my games in Wine when there isn't a native linux version. As such, I'm partly insane, and far too good at getting Wine to run things.

I'm a big fan of good AI, good combat mechanics, interesting characters, mind-bending storylines, and very high difficulty curves. As such, the current state of gaming is rather disappointing to me. Worst offender: The Elder Scrolls. Without mods, none of the recent games in this series are worth money. With mods, they're acceptable, but I don't think it should be my job to fix their game.
