This game is still a lot of fun and I wish more people played it. Into the Breach is basically an arcade-styled turn-based strategy game. You can play it in short bursts, and it can end up being pretty difficult. The unfortunate thing is that catastrophic mistakes often feel like they're entirely your fault and you'll feel stupid when they happen. With that said, it does have some puzzle elements, and you do need to plan your turns out well to prioritize objectives, minimize grid (or mech) damage, maximize kills, etc.

It has a decent amount of replay value too, not just with unlockable mech squads (with mechs having significantly different abilities), but also with the objectives, enemies, and upgrades you get through each playthrough being randomized. While you don't get to keep equipped upgrades between playthroughs, pilots can level up in battle and gain built-in upgrades that way, and you can keep one of these pilots between playthroughs (regardless of whether you win or lose, so long as they don't die).

My only real complaints are that some achievements (which are needed to unlock squads) feel too luck-based or tedious, especially when I have to play as squads that I just... don't enjoy playing as in order to get more achievements. Also, if a max level pilot dies during a playthrough, you feel very gimped at the start of the subsequent playthrough(s).
