I really REALLY want to enjoy this game. I do. But it's legitimately impossible to access the content that is the main appeal. It's a high investment of time + predatory game mechanics just to get gatekept if you aren't fully optimised. Which requires having already cleared that content to begin with... which means paying with ingame currency for a bus for other players to carry you through it. Even after weathering that awful experience there simply aren't groups willing to take on newcomers to that content. This game had alot of potential, but just doesn't work since its a Korean MMO which only work with a big playerbase, negating the toxic game style with sheer numbers. Not adapting it at all and exposing it to a Western audience just means a small playerbase which paired with gatekeeping results in a completely unapproachable game. There are many features in the game that *require* a group to even access, even in the open world events. Many of its downsides I could ignore like the obvious P2W or overmonetisation or ♥♥♥♥ optimisation, but if the game is straight up not able to be played then I can't make excuses for it.

Bought the original since this game was included for free for future release. The graphical fidelity holds up, and the music is good thematically. The game still has the same tacky feeling the first game had, and is horrifically under-optimised. The story is.... laughable. Ability upgrades are terribly implemented and the level design is actually abysmal. The game promised as a full release feels like a demo at best.

Doom and Devil May Cry with a very generous helping of complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane aggressiveness makes for high octane gameplay, dopamine with every drop of blood that lands on your literal hell-bent robot. Nothing beats the rush of ULTRAKILL

Well. I honestly expected I would tire of this game after playing Ending E again, this time on PC. A masterpiece. From music to story to gameplay. Truly a perfect sequel deserving to take its place in the series. Good job Platinum Games.
