Exclusively played in VR with the Oculus Rift CV1, 1080ti and i7-8700k 16GB ram.

What's Good: It truly feels like a new VR experience unlike any other. No Man's Sky has done a good job at implementing VR controls to what started as a PC FPS game. Flying in your starship feels great with a virtual joystick and thrust lever, while you have the option to look around your cockpit as if you are really there. Some simple menu systems are locked on your wrist, making inventory management and quick menu usage super simple, making the usage faster than what PC players can do. Speaking of inventory the menu UI system is excellent. Using your right hand as a cursor, moving items around, crafting and reading descriptions feels easy to use and you can do things with much more ease than how the PC controls are used. Using your multitool to mine, terraform, and shoot enemies feels like how it should be for VR, where all the aiming relies on your right hand direction. Building bases is incredibly easy, everything relies on again, your right hand with the controls for deleting, wiring, and module placement all finely translated for the limited buttons on VR controllers.

Whats Bad: The UI is front facing and locked in front of you. This may feel alright at first, but it becomes an issue when turning your head around to simply look at things. For something VR, the immersion breaks when you have too face forward every time you want to peek at your health gauge or check what mode your multitool is on. While this is no easy fix, having the UI attached to your head would make the experience superb.

Whats Iffy: In analysis mode when scanning objects, holding the trigger to scan an object is the same as tagging a point of interest in the background. This makes it so any time you wish to catalog something, you end up marking a location behind that unintentionally. A simple fix is just replacing the marking button with another trigger, as at the moment the left trigger does nothing in analysis mode.

Pc-98 aesthetics, slice of life, bartender action, life struggles, robot babes, and catgirls. How is this not an instant buy?

It's like Shadow Warrior loaded into a shot of adrenaline, then loaded into a .50 cal and injected straight into your face. 7 bucks for a dose? Give me 10, please.

Gameplay makes me pre, but the graphical artsyle gets me floppier than a soggy noodle.

Weapon models look more like concepts of what could be, and your character looks like a fetal alcohol syndrome baby that got the ♥♥♥♥ kicked out of it by the doctor cause it was so ugly. Just slimming down the player characters and giving more variation to the weapon models would make things more appealing to many starving eyes.

But with that being said this game kicks my ass harder than Butch Schultz did in third grade, but instead of crying like a little ♥♥♥♥ I can get my magic going by casting spells and hand out some helpings of ass whooping. Game makes you feel badass when you pull off combos and actually strategize on how to defeat certain enemies. The community is also handy like whenever somebody sees a guy getting their meat beat, they jump in and save that poor dingle and make them a friend.

Gotta say, VR MMO's are gonna be a hit (at least when vr gets more affordable, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mark cuckerberg and gayben).
