Well, although the game seems kinda fun, and well made at first. But after a while the constant need to fix yourself all the time is quite tedious. Unless you like this sort of stuff, stay the hell away.
90% of my playtime was gathering and making sure i didn't die from thirst, protein deficiency, vitamin deficiency, infections or constant leeches anytime you get anywhere near water. I'm fairly sure the body is quite capable of functioning without water, food or vitamin pills for more than a single day. And also the fatigue mechanic is quite bad. When you are low on "max stamina" you are at risk of just falling over and sleeping where ever you land. And that seems totally ridiculous. I have done quite a few camping trips, and never have i been so tired within a day, that i would just fall over and sleep out of the blue. It's really ridiculous ;)

Now this i actually a shame, since the story seems interesting.
I then tried the only mode that slow down the stat degradation, called "Walk in the Park", which sadly also removes any natives and dangerous animals. Which makes it even more boring. I want it to be a challenge, but managing stats at a unrealistic rate, on some watch, isn't exactly engaging and for me a rather boring way to implement difficulty. I wish there was a mode that simply slowed the stats degradation to a more realistic level, while leaving enemies as is.

Regarding it's recent hype. No Man's Sky has a great concept and good design features. Gameplay is however repetetive and what it lacked most was clarity in it's demos and interviews. Lots of features that where said to be there, never appeared in the game so far. So the feelings of the followers for this title is understandble, when you are lied to.

As such, i could not recommend it for the full retail AAA Price at this time.

Fenomenal game. Probably the best Free Roam experience you can get on PC.

And the Online features.... They are godlike. Never had anything like it.
