As a sequel, it does an excellent job.
The hub level with its own puzzles is an appreciated addition.

I've had a positive experience with all the games.
But, I think some games from Dread X Collection offered better spooks.

Here are my highlights:
- Squirrel Stapler has a good delivery of its spook. It's a game you want to watch let's play videos for reactions.
- Sucker for Love surprised me because of its genre. Horror dating sim? Haven't played that before.
- The Thing in the Lake, a fun top down adventure game.

Decent collection of indie made horror short experiences.
The quality varies from game to game, but there are a few gems who really shine.

Summer Night, by Airdorf, was my favorite. I totally relate to the idea behind the game.
Outsiders reminds me of the good old Escape Room flash games.

For a first effort, it's good.
Making a game in seven days is very difficult.

An excellent retro first person shooter.
Fans of Quake, Hexen, Heretic will enjoy AMID EVIL.

Combat is great: The weapons are super fun to use. You will find yourself using them all.
Exploration is also very good: The level design and secret hunting will make you go over the map once more before proceeding to the next level.

DUSK or AMID EVIL?
Tough pick... the right answer is both.

Hellbound is OK as a retro shooter fix, but it will not satisfy the purists.

The highest FOV setting I could set in the menu was 90. It felt claustrophobic and had a hard time to adapt.
I usually play at 110. The game has stutters at the final boss.

Resident Evil HD Remaster is what a remake is all about: Going above and beyond the original game and blow the fans away. It is the best entry of the series.

Amazing.

Silly, simple, and decent short game.

Recommended only if you're a Devolver Digital fan.
Some of the games were fun. Luftrousers made me discover Luftrauser.

Fun little Metroidvania. It's very short, but worth its time.

Hollow Knight is a marvelous game.

Its world is enormous, contains many zones and can be intimidating to new players. Unlike other Metroidvanias, the map doesn't update as you go: you have to buy a map for each zone, the ability to update the map for discovered area, and the ability to pinpoint your position on it. I quit this game twice because of this.

The story of Hallownest is not directly told to you, but you can pick up on what's happening... Like Super Metroid. If you like lore, it has tons of it. The fan base is very passionate about it.

For me, the biggest appeal was getting the powers, upgrades and the boss fights.
The boss fights will keep you coming back.

Even if people label this as a Metroidvania, the rewards for exploration are a bit of a let down.
Sometimes, you will feel the games punishes you for exploring. This can be aggravating.

The soundtrack is wonderful. You will want to purchase it.
