Amazing game, with lots of content that regularly gets updated.
Also amazing to play with friends, but not a necessity. Playing with randoms is usually also fine, since the community is pretty friendly

Deep Rock Galactic is a game, that sort of combines elements from several titles, to create an awesome experience.
This game is in early access, but don't let that fool you. If you like the game loop, then there's many hours worth of content here.
There are multiple weapons, perks and vanity items to unlock. You can design your own dwarf and give them the type of equipment you want.

The developer is also one of the absolute best developers I've ever seen, in terms of communication and updates. Ghost Ship Games keeps us updated all the time and we more or less always know what is coming. As of writing this review, they're working on end-game content.
Also, be sure to visit the subreddit in which the devs are also active.

You have the option to choose between 4 classes, that all have unique methods of handling the terrain

The Gunner is your standard shooter type of guy. He's able to hold his ground easily and deal with swarms and larger enemies. Gunner can be super reliable as a bodyguard while you're handling minerals or the alike. Gunner also has a zipline-gun that allows him to place permanent ziplines that everyone can use, thus making him great at crossing deep caves.

The Scout is the fastest class in the game. As you would imagine, scout has a ton of mobility options and can set up swarms to be easily killed. He himself however, doesn't have much firepower, but can absolutely defend himself, should the situation call for it. He is great at mining hard-to-reach minerals, especially if you combine his abilities with the engineer.

The Engineer is a multi-tool of a character. He does a lot of things. As most of engineer characters in video games, this one also allows you to place turrets on the map to help you defend yourself. Engineer has a lot of firepower if used correctly and excels in destroying armor off of big targets. The engineer can place platforms on any surface, which allows him to effectively make ladders or plug holes.

The Driller is most often considered to be the weakest class. I am probably biased, because I main him, but he truly isn't as weak as he often is said to be. Driller excels in crowd-control and dealing lots of damage up close. Driller struggles with larger targets, which is probably part of the reason he is considered weak. Use the right equipment and perks, and you'll find the driller to be extremely viable. Driller can, as implied by his name, drill tunnels really fast and effectively. This might seem weak, but you're effectively able to create chokepoints anywhere on the map or bend the terrain to your will. And finally- You're never truly lost, since you can always just dig to your desired location.

There's a ton of enemy variety, and it only seems to be steadily increasing. With 5 different difficulties, you're sure to get your ass handed to you at least a few times, but there's nothing quite as satisfying as completing a Hazard 5 mission with a full team.

This game is an easy recommendation for me.
