Star Wars: The Old Republic is a good MMORPG that reminds me of WoW, by which it was inspired.
First things first..
There are a lot of different storylines for both factions(Republic and The Empire) and different classes. Each class has a different story depending on faction. You will spend quite a lot of time completing them all, but if you're F2P you will not manage to do that, i will say why later.
The quality of these storylines is rather mid for me. Some are interesting, some are boring. Im sure you will find some of them to your liking.
But there's not only class stories. There are also a lot of DLC's that tell their own story.
To be short: there is enough of story content, no need to worry about that.

And now, the most interesting part..
I suggest you look at the release date of the game. Once you know it, you can be sure that the battle gameplay is right from that time. It's not cool in 2025, it's not interesting. It's almost the same WoW in this part. But i must say..it looks good.
But everything good ends someday..
Money. That's what devs love the most. They want you to take your money out of your wallet and pay. Pay for subscription to unlock all the DLC and actually enjoy the game. Pay for species that can be your character.
Their beloved subscription also allows you to have more than 4 characters on one server.
Yes. that's why i said that you will not be able to experience all the storylines if you are F2P. There is more stories than 4. In short...
And if you not - get a lot of limitations. Even the privileged players(that paid for sub once) have them. Not all of them though. But the LIMIT OF CREDITS(local currency) is still 1 million like for F2P.
There is a hyperinflation in the game and some items on the local market(GTN) cost a lot more than 1m. But devs don't give a f@@@ about that. Go stretch your wallet to play the game normally.
As you see, it's the most frustrating part of the game.
It's not a bad game. It's definitely worth trying, but if you want to experience the game fully - at some point, you will have to pay.
As you see, it has a lot of pros and cons. So go and check it out, if you want.

Game is really good, i liked it.
Though, i can't play the game in normal mode. It just freeze after a couple of seconds. It runs properly only with compability renderer.
Im not sure if it's trouble with my pc or its something with the game.
But i believe that this game has a bright future ahead, my respect to devs.

Good price with a discount, but does it worth it? More yes than no
Good:
1. Graphics is just fine.
2. Shooting is really improved in compare with 3 or New Vegas. It actually feels like you shooting with a gun, not with a stick.
3. Interesting side quests
Bad:
1. Really boring system with the settlements.
2. Optimization is awful, i coudnt make it work from the first start. I needed to dig into the settings files and change the specific parameters to make the game actually work without stuttering.
3. Laggy UI and NPC's

Good:
* Nice graphics
* Variable character customization, you can turn yourself into a SAS agent for example.
Bad:
* Boring gameplay - from the start it can be engaging, but in the middle of the game it becomes boring, because you're doing the same things all the time.
* Game is pretty buggy
* Dumb AI teammates - if you don't have any friends to play with, you literally cant play alone, game is giving you AI teammates. They are not only stupid, they are just blind and can't see an enemy that standing in front of them. Sometimes it's really annoying.
* Dead PVP activities.

Buying or not - your decision, but if you have friends to play with, it's definitely worth the money.

This game is very good if you have friends, but it's really boring if you playing alone.
Good:
* Nice graphics
* Good atmosphere of the winter in New York
* Engaging gameplay
Bad:
* Story is very boring
* Dumb AI

Провёл достаточно много времени в игре(в районе 40-50 часов в Epic Games). Могу точно сказать, что игра всё еще хороша. Онлайн жив, особенно в режиме "Я Зомби". Сюжет интересный, хорошие сюжетные повороты. Спойлерить не буду, лучше купите игру и сами всё поймете. Пустил слезу после концовки DLC "The Following". Обязательно для прохождения всем любителям порезать зомби на куски.

Игра сама по себе неплохая, но без прайма играть крайне не советую. Почти каждую игру софтеры или токсики. Когда хочешь расслабиться и повеселиться в кс, получаешь негатив и горелый пукан. Вывод:хотите играть с нормальными людьми? - платите габену за прайм
