Imagine: The year is 2023. "AAA" game studios are putting out $70 early access shovelware and shipping it as a feature complete experience. Filled to the brim with cut content re-selling it to you for as much as $20 micro-transactions.

Enter Battlebit Remastered. A game that really captures the spirit and zeitgeist of the early 2000s. For an early access offering at $15 you get an incredibly immersive and fun FPS game developed by less than 10 developers that also pretty much puts its direct competitor, the Battlefield series, to complete and total shame. As someone who's completely jaded by what the video game industry is and has become, Battlebit feels like a huge breathe of fresh air. It's a complete multiplayer shooter experience that is chockful of emergent and immersive gameplay that is also an absolute joy to play. To think, the game is really only in its infancy at the moment.

At the time of this review, I've played 8 hours and I will highlight the most notable aspects of the game that stood out to me:

High framerates
Phenomenal Netcode - Major props to the devs for this feat.
Guns feel great to use
People are fun to play with and the community absolutely will form the backbone of your experience.
Excellent server browser functionality at launch
Excellent servers and server stability in general
Fun and varied classes
b]The ability to drag bodies.[/b] Seriously can't overstate what a game changer it is to just drag bodies in and out of cover on a whim. It's absolutely delightful

I'm very optimistic for the future of Battlebit. As it stands, in its current state at launch, the game is a complete steal at $15 USD and it stands for what gamers really want. Battlebit Remastered is a very easy recommendation.

I must have been hiding under a rock when this game mode was popular on Warcraft 3/Starcraft 2. Having no exposure to the mod or sub-genre it's shocking how good this game is. You won't get a good idea watching gameplay of this, especially not from twitch.

This game is closest to the auto battler genre, games like auto chess, TFT, etc. It feels really good juggling your own economics, making judgment calls on the units you place down and the units you send to your opponents. It has a lot of good systems here and it's incredibly replayable. I bought the game expecting to return it in the 2 hour refund window and at the time of this review I'm at 25 hours+.

Would highly recommend this game to those looking for an excellent cross between tower defense and auto battlers with plenty of room for strategy and tactics. For everyone else on the fence, use the 2 hour window; you'll get an idea in the first hour if it's your cup of tea or not.

Hands down one of the most addictive and fun ARPGs out there. It's the Diablo 4 that Blizzard refuses to make. GGG communicate regularly with the community, always implementing new content on a razor's edge.

The extent of this game goes as far as "interactive adventure" but you're moving through this world to progress the story and trust me, you're definitely going to want to. This is one of the most powerful games I have ever played and I will never forget the story it has told. I shed a loooot of manly tears playing this and I really don't think this is an experience you want to pass up. I recommend this game with every fiber of my being, but it isn't for everyone. It's a very emotional journey that as long as you have a heart, you will surely be moved.

Please pick this game up.
