I like the story, but the gameplay is honestly not that great. Why am I doing several sidequests? "Sorry about your deathly ill sister, please get me some vapor moss." was honestly a bother. It's in the village too, why is she unable to get it herself?
Minor spoilers, Why did we go to the Forest again?? Most random checkup and then never went again (I'm currently on the second half.)
The combat isn't that enjoyable either. So many spells and no easy quickswap? Why not put the weapons in the same swap, left&right have spells. I don't know that many people that need a weapon quickswap, but the spells are kinda major.
Keyboard could've been fully mapped out for the spells, but that's just me.
Major spoiler, get obliterated or kill someone?! I wonder what option I'll pick?! It's probably a route thing but it looks both funny and a little odd that I'm thinking if I want to kill three people instead of one

If you played Nier Automata and enjoyed the story, the gameplay probably won't be unbearable. It's just not that exciting.

I'm 100% not the right audience android-loving wise but wow this game seems so peaceful 😇

Edit: It's been 35 hours since I posted this review. My life is over. I'm never playing this again.

I know nobody is going to read this anymore due to the delisting but fellas is it wrong to enjoy chucking Skully out the window
I'm poor and so this is the cheapest way that will still let me chuck him out the window

Early Access Review
I'm gonna be honest, I like the concept. But it is entirely based off someone's willingness to play this with their friend *every single day*.

TLDR: Not worth it for more than a month (especially if you hate grinding)

Sky: COTL is a game focused on exploration and collecting cosmetics.
I originally played on my phone, so I don't have my hours.
It sounds easy, but it's entirely grinding and micro transactions.
Want to fully finish a season? Play almost every single day. Miss a week? You'll never get it.
Cool cosmetic in a season that you couldn't get because you were busy? Turns out it is permanently gone from the pool of returning cosmetics.
Didn't join during a season's run time? The spirits will return next year.
By the time my favorite spirit returned, I honestly couldn't care about the game anymore.
Want to do parkour? The mechanics are so horrible. Nothing changed on PC.

It's only worth it F2P and if you don't mind looking like a new player. The grind is absolutely absurd and, really pointless actually.
Once you're bored, there's no more reason to continue playing. There's nothing for you to do after a while, solo and in a group.

I think it's a fun game. The downside is that you can't really follow the rhythm. It's more of look-where-you're-going instead of listen-for-the-beat.
It's also very unforgiving, so being new/bad at rhythm games alongside being bad at hearing beats, ALONGSIDE trying to focus on hitting said beats while focusing on the visuals that most people put 50 effects over.

I like it. There should definitely be a warning for player one about gore, though.
There should also be online matchmaking.

This feels wrongly marketed. Town of Salem 2 constantly feels more of a p2p, and should not be listed as free. There are locks on cosmetics, the cauldron (if you remember it from ToS), and the only barely reasonable one being a lock on the times you can play. I feel the ftp version should be advertised as a demo instead, instead of making it appear as you can play ToS for free like in the past. Alongside this, classic lobbies aren't very populated. There's not a direct tutorial, and isn't super beginner friendly. With the house mechanic, there's nothing to do in there. You can't buy furniture, and even if you could, I doubt it'd do much. I understand needing money, but cosmetics being locked? You can only play a game every two hours after you use up all your keys. For dedicated players, I think that'd be enough to make them spend $5.

All that aside, it is still well made. I think the interior mechanic could use some addition, but I'm interested in how the game will turn out.

Edit here, it doesn't seem like anything changed. It's P2P, most of the positive reviews sound like new players or delusional returners (in my opinion). The negative reviews tell you about your gameplay.
