While it is a fun game to play, the balancing is so bad. honestly sometimes when looking at a cards stats/abilities its hard to imagine someone would think it was even balanced a little bit. while playing i often think how the hell did no one notice how unbalanced this is. they should really get more people actively checking it. for example a russian card cost 6 credits and 2 to operate, it has 5 attack and 5 defense but heals every turn and gets +1 +1 every turn. just removing that ability and giving it mobilization would balance it more but it would still be OP. there are a few more examples of bad balancing. and don't get me started on japan units, they are even worse

i love the racing genre but the story doesn't do it for me and the car rating system for multiplayer is confusing and annoying, its impressive how they made the game so bad. Its as if they let their brain off while making the game. I would be ashamed if this was my project and green lighted a lot of the ideas. Its a disgrace for the series in my opinion. Its not even user friendly which is the 1 thing you need to get right. they ignored what the community loved about earlier games and tried to fix issues but created 10 more for each issue and still not fix the issue.

just plain simple bad pvp, could have done way better if only he tried

while its fun to play if you are a fan of the total war series the gameplay does lack. for me a big downside is you get no time building a defence, most armies will reach your city in 1 turn making organizing a defence impossible also while under siege not being able to build troops is a weird decision because while under siege people get trained to fight. so many aspects could have been done better with just normal thinking. even mods don't really fix this, i don't know if its just not possible to change or they just don't so i won't give judgement on that. huge potential but limited execution.

The memories alone that you make is worth it to play it.

Ofc i'm bias about the game since the original is the first game i ever played.
I get that some people keep saying its only for people that played the original but to them i want to say: no its not, the game itself is great. Ok the AI isn't great but still its not as bad as people make it out to be. For me the only place i notice that the AI isn't that good is in sieges. for the rest i find them acceptable. Its also great to have more to do in a campaign then the original. Now you can use/manage merchants, Focus more on diplomatic relations(although this can be improved because if the AI breaks alliances they don't go down in reputation while yourself go down like 10%. but thats just fine tuning. The game is just a great way to spend your time.

this game used to be fun. Now its just sad. people don't play for fun anymore, tryharding their asses off. unless playing ranked for the challenge no casual fun can be found here. the player base ruined it with for example jiggle peeking. the game lost the appeal it had when gadgets mattered.

i'm 50/50 with recomending this game:
On the 1 hand i love the game
on the other hand 1 hate the way they treat the game

Germany almost always has the upperhand because of OP tanks, best weapons, best cars
And the pay to win crap, if you pay you get way to OP stuff and it also makes matchmaking a nightmare since people who bought stuff usually don't have a high level soldier they come in a game with low skill level so new players come across OP weapons and tanks and get completly destroyed making the experience with the game for new players bad. also with the prices they ask for DLC's only rich people can get a bit of boost,there are currently 3 DLC's for $199,99 which is crazy and just shows the developers don't care about the game but money. i don't think they even consider new players experience when working on the game. if they continue with only making the game better for people that spend money on it the player base will drop even more. effectively they are killing their own game because of their money hungry minds.
