Early Access Review
Can get stale after a while, but it has amazing replayability and it's so much fun to hear your friends scream out of fear, or even better, listening to their reactions after you got killed.

Amazing game from RGG, as always. Loved the story and gameplay from start to finish. The secondary content is one of the best in any RGG game. I definitely recommend it if you're new to the Yakuza series or if you're a veteran but want a change of pace.

Hands down the most ambitious game From Software has ever done, and the best game that could come out this year.
The scale of this game is huge. From the level design to the lore.
This game has way more more content than you'd expect from an open world game. Every corner has something waiting for you to find it.
It's definitely not perfect since there are some dungeon bosses that are reskins and double teams that are not balanced properly. However, all of them are optional and have some way or another to be beaten so it's not that bad in the end of the day.
Lore is amazing as usual and bosses are hard. You'll need to git gud if you want to beat all of them. If you have always wanted to jump into a Souls game but don't know where to start, I'd definitely recommend this one.

9.7/10 [Updating because of Steam Awards]

Incredible game. The developers had a great idea and it really shows. The gameplay is amazing, being able to climb everything gives you so much more freedom than I initially thought.

The rpg elements of this game are very useful when creating new strategies to pass through the hordes of zombies in front of you. Too many zombies? Cloak yourself in zombie juices to avoid detection. You don't want to make noise? Sneak behind and break their necks. Too many zombies in front of you? Vault over them or tackle them. The possibilities for busting zombie heads are endless.

Amazing game, can't wait for Dying Light 2.

Amazing game. I loved every second of it. My only gripe is that it's too short compared to what it's worth. Get it on sale and you won't regret it.

Amazing game to play with friends. It's basically an engine that allows everyone tu upload their favorite board games. Neat idea.

It's a great game, despite it's many flaws. The combat is still as good as in DS1, the build variety is even better than in DS1 and DS3. Content wise, this game has the most content of any souls game with around 40 bosses in total (Including DLC).

What this game lacks compared to the other Souls game is Miyazaki's touch, what do I mean by that? I mean that the philosophy for this game's difficulty is to crowd the areas with as much enemies as possible to simulate real difficulty. It's not as bad as it sounds (For the most part) but there are some areas that are just filled with so much enemies that you won't find any route to pass through without taking an absurd amount of damage. That's what I mean with "Miyazaki's touch".
DS1, DS3 and Sekiro (Games directed by Miyazaki) will always have areas filled with enemies, just like in DS2. However, Miyazaki will put effort into making it a puzzle that you can resolve, in which you have to analyze which enemies you could take on first to avoid the most damage through the passage. That's something that DSII lacks, the real strategy, those details that Dark Souls games are known for.
It's still Dark Souls and a great game, lore is amazing as usual. Worth buying in my opinion.

It's a very simple puzzle-platformer, with a very strange story about a kid that needs to escape... The Limbo? Nothing is explicitly explained about the world and how it became to be what it is, however the artstyle, soundtrack and atmosphere tells you that it's a very cruel place where you have to escape from, and that's enough explanation.

The gameplay is what you would expect from a puzzle platformer, it has puzzles and they are very fun to solve, many times I was in a situation where the solution was so simple but you had to think logically to solve it that it made me do those "OHHHHHHH" moments, when you realize how dumb you can be for not noticing earlier lmao.
Very fun to play, it's a little bit short for a 10$ game, but if you get it on sale you'll have a good time.

Edit: I just noticed that the description in the Steam page of the game explained what the story is about lmao, the game does not explain this to you until the end of it and even then, it's not very clear who the girl was nor why he was looking for her.

Walking forward simulator. The game tries so much to look beautiful at the expense of failing at what makes a videogame good.

As many other puzzle platformers (like Limbo or Inside), this game only allows you to move in 2 directions, left or right, however, this game tries so much to be art, that you're going to find yourself walking tediously through the "amazing" landscapes that it has to offer.
Don't get me wrong, the artstyle of the game is very well made, however, the developers show them off so much that it feels like they are trying to compensate for what this game lacks, actual content.

The art direction feels like it's solely purpose is to sell you this game as a "beautiful gem", hiding away the fact that it doesn't have anything else to offer.
For this reason, this game isn't just pretentious as hell, but painfully slow and boring.
If you're in for a very well made artstyle and beautiful landscapes, you're going to love this game, but if you're looking for an actual game with good mechanics and content, stay away from this.

P.D: I would recommend playing Little Nightmares and Inside, 2 games that have an amazing artstyle too, but since those 2 actually have a reason to look the way they do, other than "to feel creepy", they were very well merged together with the content of their games, and don't feel like art knock offs like GRIS does.

The artstyle is just fantastic, very unique and goes so well with the creepy ambience of the game.
The main game's story is rather simplistic, but very enjoyable, the game will never tell you in words what's happening, it relies on its visual representation to tell you a story, and in that department, it seriously does an amazing job.
What takes the cake is the DLC, it transforms a very cruel and sadistic scene of the main game, and transforms it into a sad and heartbreaking one, that's all I have to say, buy it with the DLC, it adds a lot more to the lore of the game, and you'll get what I mean.
