I've been waiting for this for 6 years and never lost hope nor my excitement for this. I woke up forgetting it comes out today, but once I sleepily checked my e-mails and saw it, I jumped out of bed squealing in excitement.

I didn't get very far yet, but I'm absolutely loving it. The characters are all charming, lovable and expressive. The art style is absolutely amazing, especially during combat. It's both super adorable and unsettling, although, again, I didn't get very far yet. I can imagine the creepy factor may get a lot higher farther in!

It was more than worth it's price already and I'm super excited to get sucked deep into this world! I know most will compare this to the next Undertale, some even to the next Yume Nikki, but personally I like to compare it to OFF, which holds an incredibly special spot in my heart. Although, by any means, I believe this game isn't going to be 'the next anything.' It's going to be OMORI. It's own game, with it's own unique feel and experience.

I'm super happy for all the hard work the developers put into this, the wait was definitely worth it! Thank you and happy holidays.

UPDATE:
10+ hours in now and I still 100% agree with everything said here. The story is both sweet and fun, but also eerie and scary and actually gave me the heebie-jeebies, something a game hasn't done to me in a long time.
It has so many unique and fun mechanics I haven't seen in games like this before, which really makes it stand out. Combat is, despite being a classic turn-based, very unique as well, in a way that makes it super fun and interesting and requires much brain juice at times.

UPDATE:
30+ hours of playtime now, I finally finished it, and it was an absolutely magical experience. 10/10 I loved this game so much. The story had me so invested and the mechanics were so much fun... I can't wait to play it again and see what I missed!

a bit glitchy, but it's early release (and i think i started it before the first patch even) so that's super understandable!

all in all it's really good. while a fan of RPGs, I'm usually not super big on 'Pokemon esque games' and especially not super old-school style games that I didn't particularly grow up with, but this one surprised me a lot! the monster designs are, while strange and new, all kinda charming and caught my interest and won my heart, something which is often my major issue with these types of games; i usually don't like the monster designs. and even though it's very old-school style, it still incorporates modern features in said style that make the game smoother to navigate to not seem annoying with it's limitations.

the story can be a bit clunky and out-of-nowhere (I'm talking about Mill Town, because that's honestly as far as I passed so far), but that might just be me, and can also be easily excused due to early release, honestly.

love this game rated 12+ in which encouraging a girl to take meth for all eternity is rewarded

i been playing it for 5 hours and still havent gotten a date. truly the most realistic game of them all

OneShot is such a nicely crafted game. I remember when I first played the free version of it and LOVED it, but this one is even better! The characters are so colorful and lovely and well written, the puzzles are interesting, but not too hard (except for the one at the very ending, MMMH >:/) and it breaks the fourth wall in a way that's so nice and fun and IMPRESSIVE. Though it looks to be inspired by games like OFF, a game which I adore as well and also breaks the game very nicely, it surpasses them very well and is definitely worth the money!
