I take my anger out on random objects around the room

(edit) In the realm of competitive gaming, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) stands out as one of the most renowned titles. Unfortunately, my personal experience with this game has been far from positive. Over time, CS:GO managed to infiltrate my life, leaving me in a state of profound depression and affecting my mental well-being.

One of the primary factors that contributed to my distress was the encounters with toxic players, particularly Russians, who seemed to dominate the game. The incessant barrage of insults, derogatory comments, and trolling created a toxic environment that dampened my spirit. What should have been an enjoyable gaming experience became a constant struggle against negativity and hostility.

Furthermore, the frustration of ranking down despite my efforts and dedication added to my anguish. The relentless grind to improve my skills and climb the ladder became a soul-crushing endeavor. Each loss felt like a personal failure, amplifying my self-doubt and feelings of worthlessness.

As CS:GO consumed more and more of my time, I found myself trapped indoors, isolated from the outside world. Social interactions became limited to online gaming communities, devoid of genuine human connection. This sedentary lifestyle took a significant toll on my physical and mental health, contributing to a sense of emptiness and deepening my depression.

It is essential to acknowledge that while CS:GO may have been the catalyst for my downward spiral, the game itself is not solely responsible for my mental state. The issues I faced were a result of my unhealthy relationship with the game and my inability to find a healthy balance in life.

Recognizing the detrimental impact CS:GO had on my life, I made a conscious decision to step away from the game and seek professional help. Slowly but surely, I began to rebuild my life, focusing on activities that nourished my mind and body, fostering genuine connections with others, and discovering new hobbies outside the realm of gaming.

In conclusion, my experience with CS:GO was a painful one, with detrimental effects on my mental health. The toxicity, frustrations of ranking down, and isolating lifestyle all contributed to a deep sense of depression. However, it is essential to recognize personal responsibility and take proactive steps towards finding a healthier and more balanced life.
