this game is amazing, but the thing is, it's dead as hell. Literally nobody plays this 90% of the time. When you do find a game with people in it, though, you're gonna have a ton of fun.

it gives you access to a bright pink, which is the only reason I bought this. It's only $2.99, but it should be free or unlockable, to be honest.

While this game is great, it has some of the same downsides as other valve games: its aging community is extremely toxic towards newer players. I experienced it myself when I was new to this game, and nearly all of the 450+ hours I have racked into this game were in singleplayer. The game has some flaws. For example, despite being described as 'horror' nothing is really scary in this game, maybe a little surprising. Even the 'terrifying' special infected can be heard from miles away. Honestly, it's more humorous than it is horrifying. Second of all, the attention to small details is worse than it was in the original Left 4 Dead; for example, looking downwards will reveal that you can no longer see your character's lower body in first person. Still, if you ignore the graphics and how Valve describes the game, then it can be tons of fun. It has a workshop, that, if you sort through the many anime-themed playermodels, has some real gems, from Nicolas Cage-themed flashlights to a cat that replaces the SMG. Overall, it's not a horror game at all, but has the essential Valve game features - the Source engine creating hilarious ragdolls, the gameplay being absolute nuts, and most of all, the game being quite a masterpiece that inspires so many other developers.
