EDIT: CAPCOM HAS RELEASED A PATCH THAT EFFECTIVELY ADDRESSED THE CONNECTION ISSUES. DISCONNECTIONS ARE PRETTY MUCH NONEXISTENT NOW.

Rampant connection error, playing multiplayer is a pain. I love this game a lot, played from 12 pm til 6 AM straight and then repeat the next 12 pm on the weekend it released. But dear lord capcom, please get your multiplayer together. The disconnection issues are annoying enough, but then you're left facing a boss whose stats are scaled for a full party fight and your money reward is permanently divided too.

If you play Monster Hunter solo, it's a fine game to get. Go ahead and get it. If you want to play with friends, you'll need a lot of perseverance. A lot of it.

EDIT: You know what, I'm still playing 70 hours later. ♥♥♥♥ it, this is a great game. Streamlined with lots of anti frustration issues, the only thing bad about it is it's connectivity issues. But that could be steam's issue as well this time. I dunno. Maybe it's Capcom's. If it's Capcom's, please fix it

This is not a video game. This is art. A masterpiece. Admittedly a big messy port of a masterpiece, but there are user made mods/patches that greatly alleviate the problems so at least I can recommend this game when it's at a discount.

Discount Helldivers but without discounting the fun.

The loading and connecting screen is very beautiful. I never get tired of staring it, and fortunately, that is how i spend most of my time in this game

EDIT: Well now that you've seen my hours you'd know that the loading sceen is most probably NOT where I spend the majority of my time in this game

Funny how i can post a review even though i refunded my copy. I refunded mine cause my old machine can't handle the specs, it turned out. Solid game though, go get it

This is actually a solid game. I've never put anywhere near this many hours in a game. But alas, it's going on a downward spiral. It's still solid, but its future is very bleak. If you want to know what I'm talking about, other reviewers posted in great detail. Bottom line? Don't buy, move on to something else.
