From a Fallout new comer standpoint, Fallout 4 is good. The problem is, Fallout being such a known classic and so much praised I was expecting more.

There's things where it excels: the crafting, the weapon modding, the build system, the open world and sense of freedom. There's other things I'm not so excited about: not being able to make decisions, everything seems to have one path only regardless of what you choose (dialogue), the story is made in a way you can barely shape your character, you lose some sense of discovery and depth when all you get is groups of people scattered around the world that will give you a few side quests for money. Also, you are forever stuck with the "save my baby" mission.

Don't get me wrong, in the end it's still a good game. But I would have preferred less focus on building/rescuing settlers à lá Dying Light and more focus on discovery à lá Witcher 3.

If you wish to see it in action you're more than welcome to check the series, warning: huge spoilers.
