If you like souls-likes and metroidvanias you will enjoy this game! It is like comfort food. Will you remember this as an all time best? no. Will you be raving to your friends about it? no.
It is simply an all-around solid game and an enjoyable experience. Pick up and eat if you are in that type of a mood.

To be honest... I have played ALL the FromSoft games to completion and I think this game is better than 75% of them. Elden Ring, Sekiro, BB (debatable) I would consider better but this game is UP THERE with the best in my opinion. I have 65.4 hrs in three weeks on my third play through and I just keep coming back even when I tell myself it is time to stop! FromSoft may have a genuine completer here.

Personally I believe this is one of the most rewarding video games ever made and the best FromSoft title created. I would not recommend this game to anyone who is not patient. Everyone else - enjoy this absolute masterpiece of a game.

GIVE IT TIME! I played for a few hours and exited the game because it was so overwhelming what is expected of you as a player. There are a lot of things to balance when playing this game. I am so happy I decided to turn it on again a couple days later. This game is INCREDIBLE, so keep in mind, you may need to play 5-6 hours to really get yourself situated in the game and start really enjoying the experience. Big thumbs UP!

This game is F$#@&%$ HARD. In both a satisfying and unsatisfying way.... I will give this game a thumbs up overall since it is an indie developed game and does have more positives then negatives. When you complete a section it is rather satisfying because the game will spank you making your wins feel like wins! At the same time... What for exactly? You don't get rewarded with much really outside of some slight buffs here and there and some lore. The game is riddled with this flaw. One thing makes you feel GREAT and another makes you fell ehhhhh okay
Also fair warning if you love fast paced with a hint of jank you will enjoy the combat flow. If you are going into this with souls in mind you will likely come away with a bad taste in your mouth.
Overall a good effort and much potential. I hope the devs learn and make another title. I could see this formula creating something beautiful. Unfortunately, this game just falls short in some crucial areas.

I bought the DLC pack for 25 dollars. So each experience comes out to 8 dollars and some change. Literally a big mac meal cost the same amount as the incredible experience I had with the first DLC. The fact that people are being so hard on the DLC is wild to me. They put extra love into the environment and bosses. It was far more engaging than the base story lines (which were a little on the weak side). I feel people see DLC and will buy it to almost ALWAYS be disappointed or unhappy.
If you are on the fence with buying the DLC pack because of the reviews PLEASE give it a go. The developers put so much love into this amazing game and you can feel that same love in the DLC and if you feel the 25 dollar price tag is to steep it is 100% worth it on sale.

UPDATE - I got 7 hours and 24 minutes out of it playing solo on Veteran with a near maxed out character... Super worth it

Overall A good game. I love this team and I LOVE rivals. So if I remove the rose colored glasses it definitely has it flaws. Though it is overall an enjoyable experience and I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Dan or strategy games. If you do not fall into one of those two categories I would recommend you pass up the experience.
