The Gameplay is like Papers Please or Phoenix Wright, with the difference is in the moral conclusion of scenario. Meaning in the court cases you don't really know if person is guilty or not as its up to you to decide with what remaining evidince (Plus managing factions relations by outcome mostly). I would recomend the game if your into History or the French Revolution, the story isn't amazing but overall average one but enjoyable (Again if you like History) with some questionable plot & characters.

Personal Opnion:
I've had good time with this game as it was filled with alot of tension filled moments of unsure decisions and trying to stratigicly figure out what to do next. I'd liked the time concept of going threw time creating new timelines was thought provking. Difficlty at times punishing seemed fair and gratually got diffcult with my progress in game. If your looking for a writting then theres not much here for story or plot

Game Design:
-Diffculty
^You can pick diffculty at the start of game. At the start enemies start off at low level then as you progress to next island they increase in diffculty. You only need to finish 2 island to get to the end game but you can still do all 4 islands

-Rules
^The mechs need to acomplish goals and side goals to gain resources, protect building from vek or else power will be lost. The Player wins mission when number of turns reaches 0 and power dose not reaches 0. Both players and enemys can be pushed around or stuck in place. Each mech and enemy have different rules and abilitys. There different titles that can effect both teams

Features:
-Rouge like
^When losing to the vek(Enemy) you restart back to the being with all progress back to zero. You can bring back 1 experinced pliot to the new timeline and island progress is saved meaning when starting again you can start on new island

-Mech Classes
^There are 5 types of mechs (Brute, Ranged, Science, Cyborg, Prime) Theses classes of mechs have different ability and items that changes there playstyle. Theses classes usally fall into 3 catgorys the mech thats upclose, the mech that can preform abilty in stright line, and the mech that can ignore objects in front of it.

-Add on bonus effects (Pilots)
^Pliots are the ones who control mechs, they can give mechs speciel bonus effects if they are piloting that specific mech, pliots can be killed or sold when removed all progress they gained is gone.

-Consumable & importaint resource mangaement (Power, Mechs, Cores, Reputation, Gear)
^There are resources that can used to gain a goal or item. Power protects island from vek if it reaches 0 the game over, Cores are used to upgrade mechs, and reputation is used to buy items at end of island, and mech health can be wasted and there health is restored at end of mission, Mechs can have gear that preform different abiltys.

-RNG (Random numbers generator)
^This game is randomly generated in island layout, rewards, map layout, 2 starting recruit pilots, and encounters, bosses, enemy types

-Restart progress or back a turn (Timetravel)
^The player can start back to beging of game with 1 experinced pilot or go back turm once
