This is my 2nd favorite Total War game ever, after Shogun 2. There were a few design decisions I didn't like at first (can't train or move troops without a commander, strict commander limit) but they actually work really well in this world and give battles and armies a bit more importance than they traditionally had.

The game world is BEAUTIFUL; excellent graphics that seem to scale OK depending on your hardware, with low-settings still looking as good as Medieval 2.

The way they handle units and armies is unique and a bit cash-grabby, but I've come to expect that from Warhammer. The different leaders are REALLY varied in their play styles and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I can't recall a strategy game in my lifetime that has as much variation in gameplay and unit design as this game. Every faction has something fun about them, and every challenge unique.

This is a fantastic game (and really comes into its own when you have BOTH so you can play MORTAL EMPIRES) and I highly recommend it for anyone who is a fan of grand strategy and high fantasy.
