This game has it all. Action, Racing, and Romance.

In this historically accurate game you will drift horses, use guns to take out other knights, take shelter/loot in villages at night, and lastly propose to your one true love.

11 drifting horses/10 would propose again.

That aside, first impressions and I gotta say this game is pretty awesome!

I was hesitant to play at first since I'm not big on strategy and rougelites, but boy was I wrong.

The combat is really fun, and I like how the game gives you a lot of choices to make that will impact your adventure (negative / neutral / positive outcomes). You could play it safe, or you could play it risky. High risk / high reward. The story is interesting and there are some solid jokes sprinkled in that made me genuinely laugh.

You never know what is going to pop up next and it keeps you on your toes.

I highly recommend!

Technical Issues

The gunplay is awesome. The humor is fantastic. Traversing the world is fun. The visual aesthetic is beautiful. The music is an absolute banger. The story is alright. Lastly and unfortunately the performance on my end was eh.

The biggest issue were the frame drops. (rtx2070). If you get green flashing just turn off depth of field. If you get a message saying corrupt save then you gotta: turn off steam cloud, and go to C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Sunset\Saves\STEAMID and delete steam_autocloud.vdf

An overall great and fun game. I just wish the frames were consistent. On sale for $5 is definitely worth it.

An absolute emotional rollercoaster.

I can’t believe I never played this game back when I was on playstation.

Quantic Dream made one heck of an amazing game.

It will definitely go down as one of the most memorable games I have ever played.

Although the game is amazing I do have to mention that at times when you take control of Jodie (your character), it can be clunky at times and some of the choices are pretty hidden and I wish they were easier to find. These are just my minor gripes.

I absolutely recommend this game. It’s one ride you do not want to miss. This game easily gets an A from me.

What an absolute blast.

I can’t believe I never played this gem.

In an age of monetization, loot boxes, release broken fix later, and investor first; it is refreshing to once again play a game that is bursting with passion. Playing this reminded me of why I love video games. I am starting to become disillusioned with the current trend of video games, but this game really brought me back to the good ol times.

Story. The story is absolutely amazing. I would put it as the same tier amongst my favorite games such as witcher 1,2,3,thronebreaker, kotor, and skyrim to name a few. The character development is also superb in making me actually feel emotion unlike most games of current era.


Gameplay. I had an absolute blast literally and metaphorically playing this game. From shooting giant fireballs and knocking down my enemies to freezing an entire enemy advance and shattering them by throwing boulders; this game is a whole lot of fun. (I played mage. There are many other classes like warriors and rogues and such)

Visuals. I think they still hold up.

Performance. Runs amazing on modern hardware (rtx2070). Only a minimal amount of bugs or crashes here and there.

Overall I love this game. It brought me back to the good ol’ days of good video games. It really is a breath of fresh air from the current video game landscape. I highly recommend and it really does beat the test of time. I can’t wait to play the second game :)
