[Solution] How to play BF3 Multiplayer

Do NOT run the application or any executable. You do not have to sign into steam or origin, you will be prompted to do this later.

Go to battlelog and hit bf3.

Log in

Hover over multiplayer and Hit Server Browser

Scroll down and choose a server

Once a lil bf3 logo pops up in your taskbar (bottom of screen), click that.

Boom, you're in.

As far as the game, there are still a good amount of players playing and this game beats the test of time. Great visuals, great game play.

The game looks amazing and it has so much potential.

But

The game stutters a lot. (pvp and pve)

I've got an rtx2070, and limit the fps at 144 at medium settings and the game still stuttered every minute. I looked for solutions but none seem to pop up.

Ammo is not being shown. (Validating files fixed this one)

Ai is janky. Marines don't know how to drive. Elites will face a wall and not shoot.

In tutorial I can not interact with the button. Eventually I was able to press the button but only after pressing interact 100 times.

Switching to old version breaks the game.

All of these problems and only and hour into the game :/

Edit: Validating files fixed ammo bug, all other problems still occur. Ontop of that new bug found, shooting in the rocket jeep is also bugged. Rockets go through targets.

Edit 2: Tanks can fly apparently.

Edit 3: I have found many more bugs
-Lighting ( Jet Black character models in well lit areas)
-Brutes teleporting when using Ram/Charge
-When going Invisible with Arbiter, some guns still show parts that are visible like bullets/mag
-Environment glitches out sometimes
-Killed sentinels show lights a few seconds still after death
-Some checkpoints bug out and dont trigger
-Broken audio in some cutscenes

I would not recommend this game right not. Only after they fix this mess would I recommend it.

So I just finished the game and the tldr is: The game is good, but the performance is abysmal.

Story - Besides a few small gripes of mine, I overall liked the story. It doesn’t come close to any of the other games, but I still liked it. They dropped the ball when it came to Siren stuff which was unfortunate, but it is what it is. The story isn’t amazing, but it isn’t horrible either. I’d give it mixed on this one.

Gameplay- By far the best in the series. Lots of quality of life improvements and the shooting is very crisp when the game isn’t stuttering or dipping in frames. Most guns have a secondary option on them and I thought that was super cool because it spices things up. For example, you can be shooting someone with a Vladof pistol. Let’s say you gotta reload. Instead of switching out to another weapon, hit the secondary button and you can shoot a bunch of under-mounted rockets at the enemy to finish them off. This is super cool in my opinion and begs the question: EXPLOSIONS?!?!

Graphics- The best in the series. Personally, Story and gameplay are the most important to me, but visually speaking the game looks better than previous installments.

On to what makes me give this game a negative.

The game has launching issues. If the game doesn’t pull up immediately you gotta open task manager, stop the game, and relaunch. Not the worst thing ever, but that is ridiculous in a premium-priced game.

The performance. It is horrible. The game stutters like none other. And with an RTX 2070 at 1080p at high settings, this game gets like 60-80 frames when standing still with nothing going on. In battles, it dips hard. With the power of the 2070, the performance should be a lot better and it is very disappointing. The game is unoptimized and unpolished.

Before anyone says anything stupid, yes I have done everything in my power to try and improve the game. I made sure drivers and OS was updated. I talked to a 2k representative and he did nothing. I cleaned my pc, I made sure there are no problems with my hardware and checked if DirectX is all good. I tried every combination of settings imaginable and nothing helped. I talked to steam and reddit users as well.

Nothing helped until I found this code you can put into steam launch options for this game:

It helped me a bunch, and according to the guide on steam, it only works with higher-end PCs. What happened was a reduction in stuttering, improved graphical fidelity, but at the cost of longer loading screens. A trade-off I was more than willing to make.

But even after that, the game still stutters occasionally, my fps is nowhere near where it should be, and the game has a bunch of bugs.

Bugs like invisible walls, passive enemies, audio problems, etc.

The worst is the game-breaking bugs. If you fast travel somewhere you have a chance of your character not moving and you have to restart the game. Did you just kill an entire area, loot it, and fast travel away to sell your stuff? Did you come back shortly after to continue, to realize you can’t move your legs and you gotta restart and do it all again? Too bad restart the game. This is the issue here.

There are some other things to mention like Randy Pitchford, but this review has gone on long enough.

As a side note this is my experience with the game, what you experience may be different. But as a warning, the game starts performing worse after Pandora. I was going to get a refund but I passed the two-hour limit. So I decided to make the best out of this game since I was stuck with it.

To wrap things up, Borderlands 3 is a good game that is marred by a plethora of technical issues. I do not recommend getting this game until they have improved all the problems. When that is, I don’t know. Thank you for reading, have a good day, and stay safe out there! :)

Greedfall, in my opinion, is a great game. The most important elements of a single-player open-world action role-playing game to me is the story and gameplay. Both I think are great.

Story: You play as a diplomat and explore a new world for a cure for your people back home. There are many factions to meet and many fights to engage in. Without spoiling more, I think the story is really good. Also, the setting is like colonial times with magic.

Gameplay: I think it’s really fun. There are many ways to fight. I chose to wield both magic and guns. For when I ran out of mana, I would either drink a potion to regen some back or I would pull out my rifle to finish the job.

Another element I thought this game did really well is the visuals. The nature scenes in this game are gorgeous.

As far as flaws, the only big one was the performance, unfortunately. After messing around in the visual settings, setting everything to high at 1080p at 144 frames with an rtx2070 the game ran okay/good. Most of the time it was smooth but there was the occasional stuttering.

In conclusion, if one is looking to get a single player action rpg Greedfall is a pretty good choice. The story, gameplay, and visuals are all great. Performance may be an issue with some pc’s. Stuttering aside, Greedfall is fun and great. The game lasts around 40-50 hours. And I am happy to support devs that aren’t triple a. The quality is really good, and there is no monetization or sjw bs (Im looking at you triple a companies).

I really like this game. I liked the story and the game play.

I love the amount of customization.

On the negative there is a lot of bugs and performance issues although the latter might just be my pc.

If you like star wars and or melee action adventure give it a go. If it don't run well you can refund it if you play it under 2 hours (and under 2 weeks).
