Along with perhaps, the best, somewhat-original with new ideas and most fun a 3D modern Sonic game has been in 11 years! packaged neatly in it.

Damn great time to be a Sonic fan unironically!

I didn't even pay for it and I want my money back.

Imagine paying 60 dollars for this game, while it being a PS4 exclusive.

I highly, HIGHLY, recommend it. Without any doubt in mind. Let me explain why.


+ Excellent narrative structure and overall story. It won the Best Narrative of 2018. What were you expecting?

+ Visuals. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they are great. Gorgeous isn’t enough. Breathtaking isn’t enough. Good luck if you got a 1050ti or an older card.

+ Ridiculous amount and in-depth Gameplay mechanics. You will be kept busy with the amount of things there is to do. I mean, it got it’s own dedicated set of ‘Gameplay’ trailers. Rockstar marketed this heavily as a ‘Simulation’ of cowboy fantasies. They made a separate system and array of mechanics for your horse ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!

+ ‘OPEN’ world. It is what it claims to be. It is a ‘living’ ‘breathing’ open world. Random encounters, dynamic weather system, day-night cycle to name a few. Don’t think I would need to comment on the scale of a ‘Rockstar’ game map.

+ Audio and Music. Atmospheric as ♥♥♥♥. Tear-jerky-with-a-grin as ♥♥♥♥. Again, it won the Best Score/Music of 2018.

- Online Mode. Still needs work. Feels the same way as GTA Online felt at the start. However, their advantage this time around is that, they have a whole 5-year worth of experience with a MMO-style of Online mode, with them. It shows, as most of the available game modes feels polished enough, but could still see some changes for balance. We can trust Rockstar for a steady supply of content later down the line. I mean, look at the way GTA V is being milked.[i/]

- Poor Optimization. Don’t have much to say. Rest of the reviews here say it for me. Real wonky optimization on Rockstar’s end for this port. Not as bad as GTA IV PC ports. But, if your 1080ti is being given a hard time, then…

Needed to review this game for a steam badge. Don't mind my review. But I still stand by the fact, that this game is fun with friends. Used to play the game back when it went free on Bungie and Battle.net. Felt the reward system was a lot more fair and varied, back then. Then again, loot in MMORPGs are always inconsistent. Still, a major gripe with the game that existed back then, but now is, a lot more severe, is the fact that there is a major lack of guidance and instructions. I seldom feel lost, and have no clue what to do next. I can't separate out the side quests with the main ones. Come to think of it, I do not even know which ones are the Main quests. Activities and PVP is fun and a lot more straight forward. But PVE still needs some work, given that it is not much new-player friendly.
