I loved this game. The characters are compelling, the story is fun, and the freedom to do as you choose with your character makes this into a total blast to play and replay. The work put into the voice acting, mocap, and level design is excellent and it is apparent that the people that made this game LOVE Dungeons & Dragons and play it themselves. If you like RPGs, D&D, or just want to see what the fuss is about, try it!

I suspect we'll be talking about this game the same way Witcher 3 was last decade: a front runner for the best game of the 20s.

It's a very fun roguelite with a story that actually evolves and a huge amount of variation available to change it up. If you enjoy the other games Supergiant has made, or enjoy roguelites, you'll probably love this game.

Early Access Review
They took Risk of Rain and put it into 3d. The hectic gameplay that you'd get from reaching high difficulty levels in the 2d original is well-preserved here, with a bunch of new secrets to find with friends. If you enjoy roguelites and FPS games, this scratches both itches at once!

The biggest strength of this game is the story, and the effect you can have on it. As a vampire, you can choose to kill and drain NPCs to make yourself stronger, and this has a direct impact on how the game plays out. The combat is decent, and fairly hard if you decide to not kill any civilians. The graphics are very good, and it runs fairly well in 4k on a 1070.

If you enjoy RPGs with a bit of mystery to them, vampires, and WWI era England, you'll likely enjoy this game a lot.
