The game has numerous game breaking bugs, with more being added as the years go on. Instead of fixing their game, Paradox focused on DLC. Do not pay for this broken mess, do not support this company.

I definitely would recommend this game.

The resource management is engaging and will keep you on the edge of your seat. The soundtrack adds so much to the feeling of the story. The characters are very endearing. The plot is intriguing, and the choices you make actually effect it. The final act had me tearing up at several moments, sometimes out of sadness, sometimes out of happiness, sometimes because it was just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool.

So yeah buy it.

Strong start, I liked the cut scene that you get when you launch the game. The character creation screen is really cool. Was actually looking forward to the rest of the game, but then everyone started to t-pose and the game crashed. Happens every time I get to that point, so It's unplayable for me.

Also it's really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ choppy, even on low settings.

Maybe after another year it'll be fixed to the point where it's playable. But it's not, yet, for me anyway.

This game made me realize that I'm transgender.

Besides that, pretty cool game. Fun gameplay with lots of replay value and a nice sense of humor.

Not even ten minutes in and I can safely give this a negative review. This is the most half-assed port I've ever seen. There are no prompts for mouse+keyboard controls (for instance, instead of "press m1 to attack" it's "press the a button to attack") so you need to manually check the controls in settings. The game runs in a forced 16:9 ratio, meaning it looks like absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with no way to fix it.

Maybe the gameplay is good. Maybe the story is good. But the developers certainly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aren't- don't support them, don't buy this.

Each game has a great atmosphere and decent puzzles, not to mention an intriguing story line; but they're all pretty short and you'll probably get through them in a half hour each.

Combat is great, soundtrack is great, game looks pretty good, story is mediocre but still fun.

I got so fed up with this game I stopped towards the end of the first chapter, so take my review with a grain of salt.

This game has REALLY bad controls. It seems like in each room the directional keys shift so they do something different. You'll also have to spam click on an item to pick it up. When you do manage to pick something up you'll probably be greeted with the game telling you you can't pick it up because your extremely small inventory is full.

There's just not enough room in the inventory. I understand inventory management and all that is sort of a staple in this franchise, but come on. There's not enough room to carry your weapon, ammo, and the key items, which means you have to drop them and backtrack a whole bunch. Along with those three item types you have to carry around, you also have to have ink slips; unless you're fine with not saving your game. If you run out of them you cannot save your game until you find more.

The combat is not engaging in the slightest and there is zero tension or horror to be found at all. The reason for this is the camera. I don't know if this was implemented due to technological limitations that existed when the OG version of this game came out, but it kills the game for me and really ruins any immersion. I can't really put it into words how the camera system works, so just watch some gameplay on youtube to see just how bad it is.

Just avoid this game.

Got this game a long time ago; i've always really liked it! The gameplay is very fun, though theres not much replayability. Even normal mode is very difficult, so anyone looking for a challenging title would probably like it. It is fun to explore the world but I feel as if it's a bit bare, could use some structures and random encounters (and more enemies that arent reskins). 7/10, would reccomend but mainly in hopes that future updates will add more diversity.
